Our recent mystery bus trip took residents on a lovely day out to Bonny Hills Garden Centre. From wandering through the colourful plants and displays to sharing stories over a beautiful lunch, it was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy good company and the fresh Mid North Coast air.

These outings are always a highlight, bringing plenty of smiles, conversation, and shared moments as a community. We look forward to seeing where the next mystery trip takes us.

Outings like these are always special, giving our residents the chance to connect with nature, share stories, and enjoy time together beyond the village.

Recently, we were delighted to open our doors and welcome the community to Sunrise Village Tuncurry for our Open Day.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share what daily life looks like here — from our warm, home-like environment to the meaningful connections that make our village so special. We loved meeting local families, neighbours, and friends, and showing how we support residents to live with dignity, independence, and a strong sense of belonging.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated team, whose care and commitment were on full display throughout the day, and to everyone who took the time to visit and connect with us.

There are some connections that stay with you long after you leave—and most recently was a beautiful reminder of that.

One of our former residents reached out to let us know she had her artwork featured at the Coomba Park Arts and Crafts Expo. Naturally, we couldn’t miss the chance to show our support. Because once a Sunriser, always a Sunriser.

It was so special to see her creativity on display, surrounded by the talent of our local community. Her work was truly something to be proud of.

We’re always inspired by the passions and talents of those who have been part of our Sunrise family—past and present. Supporting one another is what community is all about.
