Time is a funny thing. The past couple of weekends back in my little market zone felt like no time had passed yet me and my little life has changed so much. 11 months since I’ve seen my market friends and customers, yet in many ways it felt like no time had passed at all. This community has been such a staple of my life the past 4 years.

The Made Local Market 🛍️

This weekend we are back for our third year exhibiting at - this is one of our favourite events of the year with over 120 stalls it’s a whole lot of creativity and talent under one roof. We are having a bit of a yea clear out sale so definitely pop by and grab some handmade gifts and support this Christmas.

10 months has flown by and somehow it’s November. It’s nice to think that my first market for 2024 is the same market that exactly 4 years ago I premiered at! My little brand has changed and evolved so much in that time, I’m excited to see where we go next.

COULD YOU BE SUFFERING FROM PMDD?

PMDD - stands for Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder, put simply, it is a range of symptoms that can be experienced by a menstruating person typically between ovulation and me**es.

The severity and duration varies greatly from person to person, but it is often completely relieved once the period bleed commences. In fact a lot of my clients with PMDD welcome their menstruation as this signals the end of this period of significant depression, increased anxiety and emotional dysregulation.

Unfortunately conventional medicine interventions are limited and come with a whole range of side effects and limited success. Most women end up on antidepressants to help manage this cyclical mood fluctuations, with some receiving minimal relief.

I've now treated a number of women experiencing PMDD-like symptoms with incredible success. In fact all of my clients have expressed significant changes within 1-3 cycles. And ladies, this can be life changing for those experiencing this jekyll and hyde monthly pattern.

“When you come to the edge of all that you know, you must believe one of two things: There will be ground to stand. Or you will grow wings to fly.”

This week we closed our doors at 27 Minjungbal Dr for the last time. They say that when one door closes another opens, and while I hope that reigns true, this door closing is bittersweet.

When I started this journey 18 months ago I was bright eyed and bushy tailed. I thought if I tried hard enough and just kept going it would all work out. I knew running a business wasn’t easy but what was to come pushed and tested me beyond my wildest expectations.

Most people that opened a physical business in 2023 would say the same, it was a bloody tough year to be in business. But I tried, relentlessly I tried. If something wasn’t working, I tried something else. We tried tea and coffee, workshops and changing approaches. Different modalities and ways to work. We advertised near and far, made connections and collaborations.

It’s been a wild wild ride. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to learn so much on this journey, I have grown as a business owner, a leader, a practitioner and a person. I’m so grateful to all our incredible clients who have put their health in our hands. We wouldn’t even be here still standing if it wasn’t for you. I’m also thankful to the extended TWC family, in particular who has been with me from day 1, your loyalty and support has kept me going.

I’m devastated that the dream I dreamt hasn’t manifested how I had hoped and planned, but I’m ready for what the next stage will bring.

To our amazing naturopathy clients, it’s business as usual as we take up residence in our smaller but equally charming space just down the road in Coolangatta. I’m excited to see how the next chapter unfolds.

And hopefully, when the time and energy is right, TWC as I had hoped and dreamt of it will be back even better than before.
