An experienced OT with skills in assistive technology prescription and minor home modifications, working primarily with individuals with physical health and neurological conditions.

🎉 What a night to celebrate our team and our journey! 🎉

✨ On Friday night, we traded our workwear for a bit of sparkle and celebrated with our incredible team at the Tweed Business Awards ✨

We were proud to be named finalists in four categories - such a huge achievement and a reflection of how far we’ve come and the positive impact our team makes every single day.

While we missed Teigan, Sarah and Claire on the night, we made the most of the chance to dress up, celebrate each other and party with so many incredible local businesses.

We’re proud to be part of the Tweed business community - and even prouder of the amazing people who make up our team.

Introducing our newest member of the Evolve team - Teigan Miller, OT.

We’ve been a bit slow off the mark, as Teigan has been with us since May and has hit the ground running!

Teigan grew up on the Central Coast of New South Wales and relocated to the Northern Rivers and Gold Coast area to complete her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, where she graduated from Southern Cross University in 2021.

Teigan is passionate about helping people to live their best life and feel empowered. She enjoys helping people to do the things they never thought were possible. Teigan works collaboratively and compassionately with clients, families, and supports to help clients achieve their goals. Through her experiences in various student placements, Teigan has had opportunities to work in both public and private settings in hospital, school, and community OT roles. Teigan has had experience in rehabilitation, mental health, aged-care, and health promotion roles, and enjoys utilising therapeutic interventions and assistive technology to promote independence. Being a new graduate Teigan is excited to start specialising in an area of occupational therapy and is committed to ongoing professional development.

Outside of work Teigan enjoys playing footy, camping, adventuring, and spending time with her friends and family.

Evolve OT is very excited to introduce you to Mental Health Accredited Social Worker Amie Dutton who has joined our team.

Amie grew up on the Gold Coast and after finishing high school, spent 3 years traveling the world. This experience cemented her calling to study Social Work so she returned to Australia and graduated in 2019 from Griffith University. Amie is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and a member of the AASW. Amie has worked in a variety of public health, Government and non-Government, acute and non-acute settings across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales. She has also worked for a federal mental health recovery initiative as well as in su***de prevention project management. Amie provides psychological strategies, therapeutic interventions and case management to children, families and young people through to older people. Amie is passionate about supporting people to live their best life, no matter what challenges they may face.

Amie is an absolute asset to our team and we are so lucky to have her wide range of experience and passion for helping others as part of our service.

Evolve OT is very excited to welcome Senior Physiotherapist Nicole Thoroughgood to our team!

Nicole graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of Queensland in 1999. Since graduating, she has worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist providing treatment for a wide variety of conditions, including rotator cuff tears, disc degeneration, acute injuries, osteoarthritis and cervicogenic headaches. She is experienced in providing post-operative rehabilitation following neurological or orthopaedic surgery such as joint replacements, spinal surgery and rotator cuff repair. Nicole enjoys working with clients to enable them to understand their condition as an important element to them gaining maximum benefits from treatment. Nicole has a special interest in chronic pain education and is trained in the Explain Pain approach and experienced with utilising Grade Motor Imagery techniques for conditions such as CRPS and fibromyalgia.

Nicole will be working with us on Tuesdays at this stage and is fully mobile, so she will treat clients within their home environment. Referrals can be made by emailing us at admin@evolveot.com.au

We are an NDIS registered OT practice based in the beautiful Tweed Heads region of Northern NSW. We service Gold Coast to Lismore with a specialist focus on mental health, however we cover a wide range of areas.

Our referral base is very quickly expanding, and we are looking for subcontractors with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience working in the following areas;
- mental health (adult and adolescent)
- autism spectrum disorder (adult and adolescent)
- sensory assessments and interventions
- home modifications
- aged care
- SIL/SDA

Excellent communication and report writing skills and familiarity with the NDIS are essential.

Subcontractors must have malpractice insurance, AHPRA registration, their own vehicle and computer.

We provide access to administration support and clinical practice management software and have an approachable, supportive management structure. We have excellent relationships with local Support Coordinators, providers and suppliers and a fun outlook!
