This December, we are promoting Decembeard, a national fundraiser by Bowel
Cancer Australia that encourages men to grow or embrace their beards to raise
awareness about bowel cancer.

Decembeard was launched as a simple way to start conversations about a topic
that can be difficult to discuss, while raising funds for research, support, and
prevention.

Anyone can participate. Every beard, big or small, helps raise awareness of
Australia’s second deadliest cancer.

If you or someone you know is taking part, we encourage you to share
information about bowel cancer screening, check in with your GP, and help
spread the word this December.

may recommend a colonoscopy to check everything’s healthy.

Our licensed day surgery performs colonoscopy and gastroscopy right here in

A closer look at the person behind the clinical expertise.

Dr Kevin Le is part of our specialist team at Ulladulla Endoscopy. Along with his work in gastroenterology and endoscopy, he provides a range of minor surgical such as no-scalpel technique vasectomy and complex skin grafts.

Outside of medicine Kevin is an active member of the community. In April 2025 he competed in the Terra Nova 24 Adventure Race in Huskisson, a non stop 24 hour event involving trekking, mountain biking and kayaking across more than 120 kilometres. Training for events like this keeps him grounded, focused and connected to the region he serves.
