Did you know that at Westella, we offer dedicated breakout spaces and lounges in both our Chapel and Westella House for families?

These spaces were designed for the purpose of having a comfortable space for you - whether that's planning the funeral arrangements, viewing your loved ones, for families to have a quiet moment, feel their emotions & collect their thoughts prior to the funeral service and a space to sit & connect after the funeral with some light refreshments.

Each space has its own unique sense of warmth, carefully created to help you feel safe, supported, and comforted during one of life’s hardest moments.

A simple gesture, rich with meaning.

Placing flowers on a coffin is a way to express love, remembrance, and connection, a final tribute to someone deeply missed.

Welcome Back Kim! 🩶🙏
“After four weeks in Melbourne following my kidney transplant, I’m so grateful to finally be back home. It’s been a journey, but I’m doing well and getting a little stronger with each passing day.
I’m also really looking forward to returning to Westella. Being a funeral director is more than just a job to me — it’s about caring for families during some of their hardest moments, and I feel truly honoured to be able to do that again.
I’m excited to be back, ready to serve our families with compassion, understanding, and support.” 🥰 🌻

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month — dedicated to increasing understanding of Parkinson’s disease and its impact on those living with it.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that affects movement, often causing tremors, stiffness, and changes in balance and coordination. It can also impact mood, thinking, and overall wellbeing.

This month encourages education, early awareness, and support for individuals and families navigating Parkinson’s — helping to build a more informed and compassionate community 🌷
