You know that strange, zingy feeling when you bump your “funny bone”? 💪🏻 It’s not actually a bone at all—it’s your ulnar nerve getting a little too much attention. That tingly mix of fire, ice, and electricity is just your body sending mixed-up signals to your brain. A weird, uncomfortable reminder of just how sensitive and finely tuned our nervous system really is.

Your body is always talking to you, even in funny (and not-so-funny) ways. 🦴

The rest of September is completely booked out — thank you so much for keeping me busy! 💆‍♀️

October is very quickly catching up, with only 3 appointments left. If you’d like one of those spots, I recommend booking as soon as possible.

I also keep a cancellation list, so if you’d like to be contacted if something opens up sooner, just let me know and I’ll add your name.

Taking time for your body is never wasted. Whether it’s for pain relief, recovery or simply some deep rest — I’d love to look after you. 💚

✨ There’s something so soothing about setting up for a pregnancy massage. 🤰🏻
Each pillow placed just right, each detail chosen to support comfort and ease—it all comes together to create a space that feels gentle, calm, and nurturing.

Pregnancy can bring so many changes, both physically and emotionally, and sometimes what’s needed most is simply a place to rest. A massage during this time isn’t just about easing tired muscles or relieving tension—it’s about slowing down, breathing deeply, and feeling supported in every way.

It’s a quiet pause in the middle of such a big journey, a reminder that care and stillness are just as important as strength and preparation. 💕

✨ Fresh, folded, and ready for you ✨
Every towel in my studio is freshly laundered, fully stocked, and neatly prepared for your session. It’s the little details — like soft, clean linen — that help create a calm, welcoming space where you can truly relax. 💆‍♀️🌿

✨ From little things, big things grow ✨

Back in August 2021, when the spa I worked at closed, I took a leap and started out on my own. With the support of a small group of clients who followed me, I began my journey in a little rented room in Ulverstone.

In 2023, an unexpected illness forced me to step away, unsure if I’d ever be able to return. It was one of the hardest chapters of my life.

Now here we are in 2025 — I’ve been back for 3 months, in my very own space on the main street, surrounded by an amazing bunch of clients. 🌿

I’m so grateful for the support, patience, and kindness along the way. Here’s to new beginnings and continuing this journey together. 🖤

Appointments are heavily booked until October 7th, so this is one of the very few chances to slip in before then. ‍💆
A quiet hour on the table can do wonders — easing tension, settling the nervous system, and leaving you feel lighter-both physically and mentally. 🧠🚶

⚫ ~ APPOINTMENT FRIDAY ~ ⚫

🗓September is almost fully booked, with just a handful of sessions left before the first week of October.

If you’re hoping to come in sooner, I keep a cancellation list ✔️ — and if those spots aren’t taken, I’ll also share them here on socials when they pop up.
Sometimes the perfect spot opens up last minute. ⏰

If you can't get in for a massage, remember to still take time for you. 🧠Take a little beach stroll, meditate or just immerse yourself in a good book. You can't pour from an empty cup. ☕

TRIGGER WARNING 💉

If you don't like needles, keep scrolling. 👀

This morning a beautiful client popped in for a short but sweet Dry Needling sesh. Here we have some needles going into the Quadratus Lumborum. The first image is a cross section of the trunk with the QL highlighted in yellow. ⭐

In this second image, the Quadratus Lumborum (highlighted in orange) is clearly visible now that the erector spinae group and the latissimus dorsi (two of the main superficial layers) have been removed.

The QL is a deep and chunky fellow that runs vertically from the iliac crest (top of the hip bone) up to the 12th rib and the transverse processes of the lumbar vertebrae (L1–L4)

🚶‍♀️The Quadratus Lumborum not only helps to stabilize the trunk but also assists with
*Lateral flexion-bending to the side
*Extension of the Lumbar spine-bending backwards
*Raspatory assist -stabilizes the 12th rib during inhalation and forced exhalation.
*Pelvic Hiking-On one side, it can lift the pelvis (useful in walking when one foot is off the ground)

😡When the QL gets grumpy, it can hike the hip upward (since it pulls the pelvis toward the ribs). That tilt changes how the glutes and piriformis have to work — often leaving them tight, overworked, or irritated. In turn, the piriformis or lumbar nerves may become aggravated, and that can mimic or worsen sciatic pain.

So even though the QL doesn’t touch the sciatic nerve directly, its postural pull and chain reaction can set the stage for sciatic-type issues.

Talk about temper tantrum 😤

⚫ ~ APPOINTMENT FRIDAY ~⚫

September is filling up quickly, and it makes me so happy to see so many of you carving out time for yourselves. 🌿💆‍♀️
If you’ve been thinking about booking, now’s the time to check in — there are only a handful of spaces left.

Looking ahead, October is already starting to take shape too. If you know you’ll be needing some calm, a reset, or a little healing touch in the weeks ahead, it’s worth planning ahead and securing your spot.

Massage is one of those beautiful things that only works when you make space for it. Give yourself that hour. Let your body soften, let your mind rest. You deserve it. ✨

You’ve probably seen the little green bottle I keep tucked away in the clinic – Eagle Medicated Oil. This oil one of my go-to favourites for massage.

It’s made with a blend of menthol, wintergreen and eucalyptus – all those refreshing, cooling oils that help ease tired muscles and calm the mind. 🌿

I love adding just a drop or two during a treatment because:
✨ it helps melt away neck and shoulder tension
✨ the cooling/warming feel is so soothing
✨ the scent instantly makes you breathe a little deeper and feel more relaxed

It’s simple, but sometimes the little extras like this make all the difference in helping the body let go of stress. 💆‍♀️💚

⚫ ~ APPOINTMENT FRIDAY ~ ⚫
(but on Sunday because I got distracted and forgot 🤦🏻‍♀️)

I’ve only got a couple of little spots left this month – just 30 minutes each. Short and sweet, but the perfect for a quick dry needling or cupping session.

Sometimes even half an hour is all it takes to release tension and feel lighter.

From mid-September onwards the books open up a little more, so it’s a great time to plan ahead and reserve the times that suit you best.
