There were plenty of smiles as residents welcomed a special visit from the Easter Bunny, who delivered delicious chocolate carrot treats to everyone. The festive fun continued with a guessing game and an Easter egg hunt, making it a joyful and memorable celebration for all.

Pozieres House held their own Easter Show with residents, families, and staff. There was plenty to choose from and so much to do in this action-packed day. After morning tea, the maintenance and care team battled it out to be the wood sawing champion of 2026.

It was a tense competition and Todd from Maintenance took out the title with Stephan our Hotel Services Manager as runner up. Lisa brought in Buddy the pony who brought smiles to many residents faces. There were cakes, artwork, and Showbags on display.

Individual showbags were given out through the morning with delicious treats inside. The fairy floss machine was a hit as were the baby chicks on level 2 activity room over easter. There was table tennis, musical chairs and an egg hunt to cap of the wonderful event. A great day had by all.

Every Monday residents get together in Pozieres House for the weekly men’s group. Today with impressive easter themed shirts our volunteers Jeff and John ran the very popular horse racing game. With a roll of the dice a residents horse is moved to achieve a win and a chocolate for passing the line.
