For more than 50 years, Toni has lived with a deep fear of water. Putting her head underwater was impossible. The anxiety was real and it shaped her choices.

For nearly 30 years, Toni also lived with undiagnosed psoriatic arthritis. Over time, it took away movement and limited how she could exercise. She wanted to move again. She wanted her body to work with her, not against her. But the fear stayed.

Today, something shifted.

Toni let go of the pool edge. She let go of control. And in doing that, she let go of a fear that once held her still. It was not dramatic. It was quiet, brave, and deeply human.

Today, Toni changed her life.

If you are carrying fear in your body, if water feels like a barrier instead of a place of support, reach out. Change does not come from force. It comes from trust, safety, and one small step at a time.

What a huge day for Toni.

Thank you, Mon and Ken, for your care, presence, and support in making another powerful day underwater possible.

Welcome to 2026 - what a way to start the year receiving these donations. Thank you so much to the awesome divers - the gear will be put to great use by our scuba therapy clients and our scuba warriors.
We begin our work on Monday at Woy Woy and then in Sydney Olympic park too so if you’re keen to experience our kinda fun that’s therapy too do get in touch before the swimming carnivals take over our favorite pools.
If you have a pool that’s deep that we can use in in Feb and March - we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you to all those donations we received last year that kept us going and growing. We are so thankful to the many who stepped up/dived in and enabled our work to continue.

THANK YOU to all our Scuba Warriors -our team who are firies, paramedics, army reserves and police. Now that last weekends horrific fires that were a few kilometers up the road from us, are all out - we thank you for your service.

If you are able to join us tomorrow- it’s our last clean up dive of the year, please do. After such a horrific and fast fire it’s important you decompress and underwater is just the place to be.
We acknowledge you.
We see you.
Thank you all the first responders who kept us safe.

After six years, almost to the day, Dennis is back at The Scuba Gym.
His goal is simple and bold: join us in Puerto Galera next year and fulfil his dream of diving one of the world's most beautiful dive locations and one he knows well from his younger years.

A veteran and skilled diver with a long history deep in the water, Dennis lives with paralysis now after an accident that placed him in a wheelchair. He has completed seventy nine laps around the sun and still shows up with purpose. After our dive today he knows it is possible and will be returning to train with intent. He feels pain daily in his body, except after an hour underwater with us.

Dennis stands as a role model for anyone living with a disability who wants to live their dream. Never give up !! Thank you Dennis and massive thank you to our awesome team who love helping our clients to be better.

CONGRATULATIONS to our newly qualified Junior & Open Water scuba divers - here having the best time as we do - underwater. These legends took to it so easily - it was such a pleasure teaching in mixed conditions. Our last day of diving the Haven cleared up for us and the eels, eagle ray, groupers and wobbegongs came to see these new divers in action.

We love teaching Scuba so give the gift of a Scuba qualification to your family and your weekends will be filled with bonding at a whole new level/depth.

What an awesome day to learn how to scuba dive. Sail and Tom almost decended right on top of a huge wobbegong in their first ever dive - what a gift to see a shark in just 2m of water.

Great work team - looking forward to more skills and lots more fun tomorrow.
So good for these youngsters to be learning such a great skill and opening themselves up to exciting careers, a great new hobby and they get to join our clean up dives too after qualifying to dive. What great role models they to their peers.

SUPER EXCITED to have Bec join us today as she learnt to juggle in her first ever dive. Oh yeah and she stepped way out of her comfort zone ( because that’s where you grow) and dived for the first time. Well done Bec - you absolutely rocked it.

Scuba therapy is mindful, physical and fun and that’s where healing happens.

Thank you to our awesome team - we had a big day underwater all made possible because of our incredible team.

Scuba Therapy and Adaptive Scuba

The Scuba Gym allows people with Special Needs, like Quadraplegics, Paraplegics, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Lymes Disease, Dandy Walker Syndrome, Hypotonia, Fibromyalgia, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Autism, Down Syndrome, PTSD and amputees, and all others that have the desire to learn to scuba dive.

We have seen autistic children concentrate, focus, gain confidence, do things their parents thought they would never do.

Scuba Diving allows for unique therapy in a weightless environment giving people the ability to increase strength and flexibility not possible during normal workouts. At the Scuba Gym, individualized workouts without gravity are designed to naturally heal the body. The benefits are individual to each participant and are life-changing.
