We’re so excited to welcome everyone back for another term of creativity, connection and growth at X Factor Abilities 💚

Over the break, The Canvas has had a little refresh — creating an even more inviting, calm and inspiring space where participants can explore, create and feel supported.

🎨 Our Term 2 workshops include:
• Creative Explorer (ages 8-12)
• Creative Collective (Teens 13-19)
• Adult workshops (title coming soon)

🌿 PLUS… introducing our **Creative Day Program** on Thursdays — a more immersive experience for those who enjoy extended time to settle into creativity, build skills, and connect in a relaxed and supportive environment.

✨ Each session includes opportunities for **Open Studio Time – explore, create, unwind**, allowing participants to work at their own pace, try new mediums, and enjoy the process of creativity without pressure.

Here in Springwood, QLD we’ve been busy behind the scenes developing our workshop programs for Term 2, and we’re so excited to begin sharing what’s coming.

Each program has been thoughtfully designed to offer a calm, supported, and meaningful creative space, where participants can explore, build confidence, and create projects they can truly feel proud of.

This is not just about craft — it’s about:�

✨ Connection in a safe and supportive environment

Participants are supported to create and take home their own work, whether completing a piece in one session or building towards something over time.

🌿✨ Today at The Canvas… something really special was created ✨🌿

Today’s workshop was all about our Positive Pebbles Easter Basket, and what unfolded was more than just a creative activity — it was a moment of confidence, connection, and self-expression.

Our participant designed and created this beautiful Easter hamper, filled with:
🐰 Handcrafted Positive Pebbles with meaningful affirmations
🎨 Personalised creative touches
🍫 Easter treats and decorations
🛁 A sweet Easter bunny bath bomb

Each pebble tells a story — words like “Perfectly Imperfect” and “Life Abundance” gently woven into their creative expression.

What stood out most today wasn’t just the finished piece (which is absolutely stunning), but the confidence that grew throughout the session.
By stepping back from demonstrating and instead sitting alongside, listening, and sharing in the process, it created space for the participant to truly lead their own creativity — and it showed.

Moments like this are why we do what we do. 💛

🐰 Easter Magic Happening in Springwood, QLD!

Introducing Creative Explorers 🎨

We're thrilled to launch a brand new workshop program in Springwood, QLD just for kids aged 8-12! Creative Explorers is a hands-on creative space where your child can discover art, craft, and build confidence through creative expression.

Every Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, starting April 20th at The Canvas in Springwood.

Small groups (maximum 4 participants) mean plenty of attention and a safe, welcoming space for every explorer.

Perfect for kids who love creating, trying new things, or just need a fun space to express themselves.
