I started The Plant Power Coach in January 2020 with a burning desire to help other women discover the same health and weight loss benefits that I’d discovered when I first went Plant Powered.
I was always ‘pretty healthy’... My mother raised us on a whole foods diet, with most foods we ate being home made, whole food, low in sugar, low in processed foods and low in ‘junk’.
I gave up eating meat in 1994, as I was a passionate animal lover and never really liked the taste anyway. I was vegan for a few years, but after burn out from animal rights activism I drifted back to dairy and eggs again, ignoring my morals in favour of ease of eating.
I still ate what I thought was a healthy vegetarian diet, lots of fresh foods, I cooked most of my own meals from scratch... but I still ate plenty of dairy, cheese and eggs!
A skin cancer diagnosis in 2017 was my wake-up call to ditch the dairy and eggs again, and heal my body on a plant based diet. I still see the Oncologist every quarter, and I’m proud to say that my bloods always seem to pass with flying colours, and there is no sign of cancer returning to my body.
Without any effort other symptoms that had been bugging me for some time simply disappeared! I’d struggled with problematic and sensitive skin my whole life, I had started developing terrible digestive complaints, and my energy always seemed to be really low despite sleeping well and exercising. When I transitioned, all of these symptoms just magically melted away! It was like magic!
I became absolutely fascinated with the healing power of plants, and I dove deep into watching all the documentaries, listening to all the podcasts, and learning as much as I could about the benefits of a plant powered lifestyle, and learned a LOT about why I became sick, and also how my transition to plant powered living had then healed my body of my symptoms.
I then found T Colin Campbell’s Plant Based Nutrition Certificate course through eCornell. It was the moment I signed up to study that I made the decision that my future lay in Health Coaching, helping others to transition to plant based eating for their health!
I also studied Health Coaching through The Health Coach Institute, where I learned how to help people change their habits and mindset around food choices and healthy living.
My signature 12 week Plant Power Transformation program is a powerful blend of both plant powered education, and habit and mindset change, which helps people transition to a plant based lifestyle with ease and grace, whilst also achieving amazing health and weight loss goals.
The program includes: 12 weeks 1:1 coaching with me, over 3 weeks of delicious & easy to make recipes to kick-start health and weight goals from day 1, weekly resources and handouts, weekly homework, and progress tracking to ensure health, weight and transition goals are achieved.
