Bendigo Kinesiology What is Kinesiology and what can it do for me? A kinesiologist can help facilitate the changes needed.

Kinesiology is a complementary therapy and the fundamental premise is that the body has innate healing energy and is doing its best to care for itself, but sometimes needs assistance to achieve this state. Kinesiology uses muscle testing to identify imbalances in the body's structural, biochemical, psychological or energetic energy, to establish the body's priority healing needs and to evaluate the best way to restore the flow of energy. Kinesiology, therefore, may be understood as a system of natural health care which combines muscle monitoring with the principles of Chinese medicine to assess energy and body function, applying a range of gentle healing techniques to improve health, balance, wellbeing and vitality. Kinesiology is a non-invasive method, that can help you to reduce stress and pain, improve performance at school, work and home, in sports, in relationships, and promotes health and wellbeing. If your mornings feel rushed or heavy, here’s a simple reset you can try before the day gets away from you.

Take one minute to sit quietly, close your eyes and breathe deeply.
Place a hand on your chest and another on your belly and notice how your body feels. No pressure… just awareness.

This tiny moment of grounding helps regulate your nervous system, settle your energy and set the tone for a calmer day ahead.

Do you feel wiped out after social events? I do! Even though I had such a great time, I can still feel exhausted.

I've come to realise it’s not just in my head. It's my nervous system working hard to keep up with all the conversations, energy shifts and emotional vibes around me. Especially as I'm naturally sensitive and empathetic, this is draining my energy more than I ever realised.

This is why I love what I do! Kinesiology can help by gently resetting your nervous system and balancing your emotional energy. It helps you bounce back faster so social moments feel enjoyable, not exhausting.

Our energy matters, I take pride in honouring it.

When little ones can’t communicate their stress, their parent’s body can, and that’s where surrogate muscle testing comes in.

In Kinesiology, children don’t need to speak, understand, or even be old enough to participate. Their parent or caregiver can step in as their energetic “surrogate” so I can test and interpret what the child’s body is holding onto.
This means I can gently explore:
• What is causing emotional stress or overwhelm?
• What is affecting sleep, behaviour or big emotions?
• What does the body needs to feel balanced and safe again?
• Where is stress stored, even if your child can’t say it out loud?

Parents simply stay connected with their child (e.g., hand on tummy, holding them, or resting a hand on their back) while I muscle test through the parent to receive information from the child’s energy system.

It’s safe, gentle, and incredibly insightful — especially for:
✨ Babies
✨ Toddlers
✨ Neurodivergent kids
✨ Sensitive or anxious children
✨ Kids who “hold it all in.”

Sometimes, the biggest transformations happen when a child finally feels understood… without saying a single word.

The difference between feeling “fine” and being truly balanced.

Sometimes we say, “I’m fine,” because it’s easier than pausing long enough to notice how we really feel. Often “fine” is a survival mode wearing a smile.

True balance feels different. It’s calm instead of tense, light instead of heavy and clear instead of cluttered. It’s when your body, mind and emotions are finally on the same page.

Through Kinesiology, we find what’s sitting underneath that surface-level “fine” — the energy blocks, old emotions or stress patterns that keep you running on autopilot.

You deserve more than fine. You deserve to be balanced, grounded, and aligned.

A couple of weeks ago, I gave myself permission to slow down. No work, no planning, no in clinic sessions. Just quiet mornings, time with my fur babies and moments to simply be.

It’s funny how much we resist rest, isn’t it? But when we finally allow it, we realise how deeply our body, mind and soul were craving it. In that stillness, I could hear things I’d been too busy to notice, my own thoughts, the rhythm of nature, the reminder that everything blooms again when given space to breathe.

Rest isn’t a reward. It’s not something we “earn” after being productive, it’s essential. It’s where creativity returns, energy restores and clarity flows back in.

So if you’ve been pushing through, take this as your gentle nudge to pause. Let the earth hold you for a moment — you might be surprised what rises in the quiet.
