The NSW SES is directing people in the following area(s) to EVACUATE NOW due to major flooding:

- All properties in Manning point including along Manning Point Road, Banksia Close and parts of Manning Street and Shoesmith Street

You must evacuate now because floodwaters are now impacting the area.

You should evacuate to stay with family, friends, or alternate accommodation in areas unaffected by flooding. If you are unable to find accommodation, Evacuation centres have been set up at:

- Club Manning Point (Manning Point Bowling Club), Club Manning Point, Manning Street, Manning Point NSW

If you remain in the area, you may become trapped without power, water, and other essential services. It may be too dangerous for NSW SES to rescue you, and buildings may not be able to withstand the impact of flood water.

What are we expecting?

The Manning River at Taree may reach around 5.70 metres early Wednesday morning which is above the peak river level observed in March 2021.

Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

This event may change quickly. NSW SES will monitor the situation and update warnings if the situation changes.

The Bureau of Meteorology advises the Manning River at Taree is currently at 2.88 metres and rising, above the moderate flood level (2.40 m). The Manning River at Taree may exceed the major flood level (3.70 m) late Tuesday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

Based on predictions from the Bureau of Meteorology, the following areas may be impacted by dangerous floodwaters:

- Wingham RSL Club, 28-38 Bent Street, Wingham NSW

If you remain in the area, you may become trapped without power, water, and other essential services. It may be too dangerous for NSW SES to rescue you, and buildings may not be able to withstand the impact of flood water.

What are we expecting?

The Bureau of Meteorology advises the Manning River at Wingham is currently at 8.06 metres and rising, above the minor flood level (4.90 m).

The Manning River at Wingham is likely to exceed the moderate flood level late Tuesday morning. The river level may exceed the major flood level Tuesday evening. Further rises are possible.

Based on predictions from the Bureau of Meteorology, the following areas may be impacted by dangerous floodwaters:

- Cedar Party Creek Bypass may be closed
- Bight Bridge may be closed

The NSW SES is advising people in the following area(s) to SEEK SHELTER NOW due to heavy to locally intense rainfall leading to life threatening flash flooding:

- Taree
- Tinonee
- Cundletown

What are we expecting?

Significant flash flooding is occurring in Taree as a result of locally intense rainfall.

Residents in low-lying areas or near a creek should immediately go inside a sturdy multi-storey building with access to upper levels, higher natural ground such as a hill, onto the roof of a sturdy building.

Do not enter the roof cavity as you may become trapped.

Move as high above ground as possible. You may now be trapped without power, water, and other essential services and it may be dangerous for NSW SES to rescue you.

This event may change quickly. NSW SES will monitor the situation and update warnings if the situation changes.
