Did you know more than 3.6 million Australians live with chronic pain? This week we join those raising awareness of the impact of chronic pain, and share a resource around low-cost AT that might be helpful in managing pain. We believe all people, regardless of their condition, should have a chance to participate in the sports and hobbies that they enjoy.

To celebrate all of the AT Chat team being in the same state for the first time, we visited Scitech and had an absolute blast trying out their sensory kit, chatting to their staff about accessibility and inclusion and, of course, having a go with the displays.
Have you ever borrowed a sensory kit from Scitech? What AT do you take with you when you visit?

Image description: a collage of photos showing people smiling, chatting and interacting with the displays at Scitech, as well as the items in the sensory kit laid out on a table.

👀 Learning Disability Week 2025: “Do You See Me?”

This week (June 16–22), we’re joining the call to make sure people with a learning disability are seen, heard, included, and valued in every part of life.

At AT Chat, we know that assistive technology (AT) can play a powerful role in making inclusion real, whether it’s supporting communication, independence, or access to learning and work.

💬 Do you know someone with a learning disability who uses AT that’s made a difference in their life?

We’d love to hear about it! Sharing your experience could help others discover tools that work for them too.
