Tea is never just a drink. 🍵✨

In Chinese Medicine, tea has been treasured for over 2,000 years not only as refreshment, but as medicine and ritual.

In the Tang Dynasty, Lu Yu wrote The Classic of Tea (Chájīng 茶經), the first text dedicated to tea.

He described tea as more than refreshment: it cleared the head, supported digestion, and lightened the spirit.

But the wisdom isn’t only about the leaves in your cup. Tea reminds us of the rhythm of pause… of sitting with friends, grounding into the moment, and allowing simple rituals to nourish body and mind.

This lunch cooked by our dear friends at reminded me that wellness is never only about food or treatment plans.

True nourishment comes from the way we gather, the care in the meals prepared, and the connection shared at the table. 🌿

🌧️ After getting caught in the rain this morning without my raincoat (note to self!), I felt a slight shift in my body by evening — a subtle floating pulse at the Lung position, and that telltale early sensation of Wind-Cold trying to sneak in.⁠

In Chinese Medicine, a floating pulse at the Lung position (浮脉 fú mài) often signals that an external pathogen (like Wind or Cold) is attempting to invade the Wei Qi (defensive energy) layer — our first barrier of immune protection.⁠
⁠
So I listened to my body and went straight to the kitchen to make a bowl of miso soup with ginger and spring onion (cong bai).⁠
⁠
🍲 This simple soup gently warms the body, supports Lung Qi, and encourages a light sweat — all essential in the very early stages of a cold to push the pathogen out before it goes deeper.⁠
⁠
🌿 In TCM, early intervention is everything. If you catch that moment — that whisper of imbalance — you can shift the whole course of an illness.⁠

Anger in autumn? It might not be what you think.

In Chinese Medicine, autumn teaches us about letting go — just like the trees shed their leaves.

Yet when we hold on too tightly, old emotions can surface... sometimes not as grief, but as irritability, tension, or anger.

You are not broken. You are moving through a season of inner release. 🍂
