The spiritual industry has once again left me speechless and now disgusted.
Cancer is a horrible disease, it is a disease that is full of pain, hurt, discomfort and sickness, it's an ugly disease, one that I wouldn’t wish in my worst enemy.
Brett was such an energetic, vibrant, charismatic man who was proud, and strong and stood so tall, he was the mentor and an inspiration to so many. Watching him over the last two years battle chronic pain every day, all day, to see him fight to stay awake, fight to stay alive has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done. He has worked so hard not to lose himself to the fight and to keep a strong positive mind, yet it wears you down.
What’s been just as hard is upholding his request for privacy. I know so many of you care and would have loved to see progress pictures spread all over social media, but that is not wanted he wanted. I know I may have offended a few people with my ambiguity and denied your visits. I don’t apologise for keeping him safe and out of the spotlight, my priority is Brett and our family.
Now, this has once again put us in the spotlight of rumours and bu****it opinions. (yes I am pi**ed to say the least…) we stayed out of the public eye to get through the battle of our life and we were ridiculed for it, so we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t.
To the apparent several sources and those that are sending out mixed messages and rumours that Brett wasn’t really sick and we used the money raised from the fundraiser on a holiday, this is just for you!!!!
Come and see me and I will show you the bucket of medication that he takes 3 times, sometimes 4 times a day. I’ll show you his scans, and his oncology reports, the doctor's results. Yes come over, please, why not meet the palliative care team and the stroke team we work with monthly. That’s right, he had a stroke, no actually he had 2 strokes (better get it right) and lost feeling in his right side, but of course, he was never sick and we used the money to go on holiday….. its always so warming to know that’s is what you think of us…
For those that care enough to not make up bu****it rumours, Brett’s recovery is going really well, the combination of mainstream immunotherapy and all the alternative treatments are working. His energy is slowly increasing and we are putting things in place to build it every day. After having treatment with a Chinese Medicine Doctor, he is getting some feeling back in his right side and will be working to reduce his pain.
I wouldn’t normally get affected by other people’s s**t, because that’s all this is, not fulfilling someone’s unresourceful needs and them getting offended. However, this is a disgusting act and you should be ashamed of yourself, we are shocked, incredibly hurt and so disappointed.
