Meet and greet on Monday

Please share this post with someone you know who is pregnant. They may be interested in having the same midwife care for them throughout pregnancy, birth and with their new born baby. Having the same health practitioner leads to the best outcomes for Mother and baby. We are having a meet and greet on Monday 7th August 9.30am-11.30am at the first Marina playground over the bridge, if they would like to meet the midwives.

We’re open for bookings for next term 😊

We can’t believe we’ve had the absolute privilege of meeting with this lovely group every Tuesday morning for the past 10 weeks! Sharing stories, laughs, nursery rhymes, many cups of coffee, and the ups and downs of life with a new baby.

We can’t wait to see you for our last session, where we’ll celebrate the closing of our time together, of course with cake and some goodies to take home 🧁🍓☕️

Sharing for International Home Birth Day 💗

|| INTERNATIONAL HOME BIRTH DAY ||

I didn’t even know home birth had an international day of celebration, but I’m so happy it does.

My 4th babe was my first home birth experience. It’s been something I’ve always dreamt of experiencing. My husband often said to me he remembers me talking about it when I was studying midwifery, and he gave everything to make this our reality.

Yes, home birth is safe. The statistics for “low risk” pregnancy supports this. But it wasn’t just our physical safety, this is the most emotionally safe I’ve felt with my care too 🥰

I love midwives and midwifery, but this is the first time I’ve experienced, in my mind, true midwifery. Midwifery care with time, space, trust in the natural process of birth that’s not limited to the system- quick 20 minute visits or a time restriction to be up and showered after birth to free the birthing suit for the next woman. There were so many differences.

We were incredibly blessed to experience birth in its truest essence, where it was truly honoured. I am SO grateful we were able to set this standard of normal for our children, who were their to witness their sister’s entrance into this world. And afterwards, we all sat around and enjoyed warm cups of tea and pizza, unhurried during our golden hour.

Quietly celebrating.
In awe.
In reverence.
In peace.
In love.

We couldn’t have asked for anything more. What a family investment 🥰
