The first thing we notice with any movement-based method is what happens on the outside – how the arms, torso, and body move through space. But that’s all just the surface. Here, what truly matters is the internal work, which goes deeper than muscles, bones or joints. A key aspect of this internal work is moving the internal organs.
In Calligraphy Health, Master Yang calls this "Organ Service," and it is the cornerstone of how this method supports overall health and well-being. When we learn to synchronize body movement with internal organ movement, they work together as a form of self-visceral massage. Over time, this practice releases the fascia surrounding the organs, helps reduce accumulated fat, and improves blood flow – nourishing the tissues and delivering oxygen to support organ function.
Internal organs are the center of our health, vitality and longevity. They are the body’s engine, where not only our physical health but also our energy originates.
This internal skill, taught by Master Yang in all Calligraphy Health workshops and courses, is like any other body skill: it develops gradually through consistent practice and patience. But once mastered, it stays with you for a lifetime.
