Close to $1500 to help First Nations Australians with Cancer through our First Nations Cancer Nurse role was raised by 11 participants in our annual Dry July Foundation beneficiary campaign. Every dollar counts in the quest to close the cancer gap and we appreciate every single person who chose to go Dry this July for the PA.

We know the nurses, doctors and clinicians, radiation therapists, physios, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, wardies, cleaners and administration staff at the PA are amazing. We're lucky enough to work in the same building and partner with them to help change people's lives for the better.

If you're like us and think the PA's staff are awesome then we are the place to give and say thank you to them. Give us a call on 07 3180 1840 if you would like to show your gratitude to the PA and we can help direct your donation to where it's needed most or directly to the department that made the difference for you or your loved one.

Let's do thank you together!

Thanks to those who choose us as their place to give, we are committed to doing our part to close the health gap for First Nations Australians. Alongside our First Nations Cancer Nurse, we have provided funding towards a program which is making a real difference in outcomes for First Nations Australians with kidney disease and who may require a kidney transplant. You can read more on the link below about how two of the PA's renal nurse navigators (pictured here) have driven this project which helps patients from all over Queensland.

How would you use $1000 right now? pay a bill, book a trip? put it towards the renovation? save it for a rainy day?

Our online lottery which you can enter for as little as $5 pays the winner $1000 and helps us to fund vital medical research into cancer and other serious diseases.

With just 1000 tickets sold each lottery, your chances at pretty decent?

So why not forgo a coffee or two this week and put that money to a good cause, potentially two. You'll literally be helping researchers to saving lives and you could be helping yourself to a cash infusion.

Current lottery closes at midnight on August 20.

PA leading the way right across the full spectrum of health issues!

PA Hospital consultant urologist, Professor Eric Chung knows his stuff when it comes to men’s sexual and reproductive health. 👨‍⚕️

He treats all types of male sexual and urinary function issues, including erectile dysfunction, reduced libido, fertility problems and sexually transmissible infections.

"Having a person specialise in the field of reproductive, urinary and sexual dysfunction can improve the overall quality of healthcare delivery in this group of men and, hopefully, I can inspire and empower the younger generation of doctors to adopt this subspecialty," he said.

Prof Chung recently spoke on the Queensland Health podcast 'It Can't Hurt To Ask', which you can listen to now via the link in the comments!

Thank you, Prof Chung, for all you do to help Queensland men live healthier, better lives. 🥰
