So many reasons to love your local toy libraries 😍

👉 For every $1 invested in a toy library, $4.22 of social value is created.

That’s the headline finding from our new independent report, Valuing Play: The Social Impact of Toy Libraries in Australia.

We’ve always seen the impact in our communities. Now we have the evidence to back it up.
The research shows toy libraries help:

🧸 Build strong home learning environments
💛 Reduce financial stress for families
🤝 Increase social connection and community participation
🌱 Support sustainability through sharing and reuse

All families reported benefits, including families raising children with disability or developmental delay.

Toy libraries are a low-cost, high-impact investment in children, families and communities.

THREE MORE SLEEPS! We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to our Open Day this Saturday!
UPDATE: for all the gardening fans, the wonderful team from will be there on the day to sell some seedlings, to share all the great work that they do, and to let you know all that ways you can get involved in the collective! Just one more reason to join us!

Unfortunately, we are having some issues with our air conditioning system – so for the safety of our community members, students, staff and volunteers we will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday January 27th.

We will re-open on Wednesday January 28th but unfortunately this means cancelling our toy library session this week.

Sorry everyone – please stay cool and look out for each other in this extreme weather!

Well hello 2026!
Term 1 is now underway here at Angliss NH and we can't wait to welcome you all back!
Follow us here for program and activity updates and make sure you have our OPEN DAY in your diaries! Saturday February 14, 11am - 2pm - all welcome!
Spots are filling up fast in our English and Digital Skills classes so please get in touch asap for more info if you or someone you know is keen to attend.

HELP US BRING JERRY THE MOUSE HOME!
We have been contacted by a community member who attended our Messy Play Day on Saturday as sadly their 2 year old has lost his beloved Jerry the Mouse.
If you happen to come across Jerry in his adventures please hand him in to Angliss Neighbourhood House and we will make sure these two buddies are reunited 🤞🏼🤞🏽🐭❤️

Whew that's another term done and dusted! As always a huge thanks to our amazing community members: students, volunteers, Bluestone Toy Library members, Bluestone Club crew, neighbours and friends for helping to make Angliss Neighbourhood House a welcoming, creative, fun, inspiring and joyful place to be!
We are taking a short break this week. See you again from Monday October 6 for a big Term 4 with new classes and programs! Pop in or give us a call to find out more 😃

Our Bluestone Toy Library outreach team had a wonderful time at the West Footscray Bunnings Fathers Day event last week. Shout out to the wonderful Suzy and Barkha who always do amazing activities/events for the community, and who are always so welcoming and supportive.

Also a shout out to Community Bank Seddon as it is thanks to their wonderful sponsorship that we have our fabulous outreach resources, and this supports us to take toy library on the road to engage and connect with our wider community.

We will be back for the West Footscray Bunnings Christmas Family Night on Thursday the 4th of December so hope to see you there! 😍
