Whew that's another term done and dusted! As always a huge thanks to our amazing community members: students, volunteers, Bluestone Toy Library members, Bluestone Club crew, neighbours and friends for helping to make Angliss Neighbourhood House a welcoming, creative, fun, inspiring and joyful place to be!
We are taking a short break this week. See you again from Monday October 6 for a big Term 4 with new classes and programs! Pop in or give us a call to find out more 😃

Just a reminder that toy library is open today at our usual time, but we will be closed next week. Back to our weekly Tuesday sessions at 3:30-5:30pm as of Tuesday the 7th of October 😍.

Our Bluestone Toy Library outreach team had a wonderful time at the West Footscray Bunnings Fathers Day event last week. Shout out to the wonderful Suzy and Barkha who always do amazing activities/events for the community, and who are always so welcoming and supportive.

Also a shout out to Community Bank Seddon as it is thanks to their wonderful sponsorship that we have our fabulous outreach resources, and this supports us to take toy library on the road to engage and connect with our wider community.

We will be back for the West Footscray Bunnings Christmas Family Night on Thursday the 4th of December so hope to see you there! 😍

Our World Breastfeeding Week raffle winner Georgina was so happy that she was our lucky winner and we loved being able to give our lovely long term toy library member her prize!

Huge thanks again to Neema and the team at cohealth for supporting us to be able to run the World Breastfeeding Week afternoon tea and offer a wonderful prize of amazing products with the very helpful support of staff at LoveLuvo 🤰👶🏾😍

Here are just some of the amazing new resources we have been able to purchase for our Bluestone Toy Library thanks to being successful for the Victoria Government Existing Toy Libraries Grant.

There is everything from more dinosaurs, lots of new large animals, a variety of pretend play sets, beginner railway sets, and a new kitchen!

Thanks to our Bluestone Toy Library members for giving us lots of great ideas and we look forward to seeing our members getting to try out the new range, and hearing feedback 😊

Over the school holidays we were lucky enough to be able to offer a free Trash Puppets workshop here at Angliss Neighbourhood House. So many wonderful puppets were made in a room full of teamwork, chatter and giggles 😊

Huge thanks to the Inclusive Communities and Environmental Sustainability teams at Maribyrnong Council who made this session happen for Plastic Free July.

Shout out to Puppets for inspiring us with your awesome puppets and for bringing a treasure of reusable trash! 😍

We're taking a break! Big thanks to all our students, volunteers, community members and friends for another wonderful term of learning, connections, creativity and friendship here at Angliss Neighbourhood House and the Bluestone Toy Library! Programs and activities will be back from Monday July 21. Stay well and warm!

Bluestone Toy Library will be closed these school holidays and reopen Tuesday the 22nd of July. All toys will be renewed during this period.

This is due to many of our new resources arriving, YAY! This will give our toy library staff time to have some of the new resources ready to borrow when we reopen. We can't wait for our families to check out the new range, many ideas inspired by our members feedback! 🙂 Stay tuned for some photos of our new resources! 😍

These new resources are thanks to the Victorian Government Toy Libraries Grant.

Free school holiday workshop for Plastic Free July! Join us on Tuesday for a fantastic and fun workshop making puppets out of household rubbish!

We were very excited to get the phone call from Katie Hall MP's office to let us know we had been successful for this grant. We appreciated being able to catch up with Katie to talk about our wonderful Bluestone Toy Library and for her to meet some of our lovely families.

This grant will support us to purchase some much needed new resources and storage and our wonderful community will benefit greatly.

Toy libraries are such fabulous assets to our community, saving waste and money, and supporting our community with valuable social connections. We love seeing our families come along to sessions and connect with each other, and see their children benefit from a wide range of resources that support their learning and wellbeing through play.

Thanks for the shout out from our buddies at West Footscray Neighbourhood House and congrats on your toy Wee Folk Toy Library being successful. Great to see toy libraries being valued ❤️.

Toy libraries were a saviour when my two little ones were growing up.

Toys can get seriously expensive, especially when kids get bored of them after a week. That's where toy libraries come in, and we have two fantastic ones in Angliss Neighbourhood House Toy Library and West Footscray Neighbourhood House Toy Library.

I was very happy to share the news with both libraries that they will be receiving grants to keep providing this valuable community resource.
