6. **Mindfulness and Meditation**: Practicing mindfulness can help you stay present and reduce feelings of anxiety or sadness.

Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself; it does not condone or support the bad behavior that has been directed at or perpetrated on you or the trauma and its impact on your life.
It is about letting go of the pain and suffering that is continuing to have power over you and your ability to know your true value and worth, not defined by someone or something else outside of you.
