Aim High Therapy Services has signed and endorsed this statement from Reimagine Australia to stop the NDIS changes to early intervention services. The sector as a whole - participants, families, providers - have endured nearly 12 months of constant change to the NDIS rules and guidelines with little to no notice or consultation. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We cannot endure anymore harmful policy change in this manner, especially when it is NOT based on EVIDENCE. We are not just fighting for our business, we are fighting for the rights of all people with disabilities.

Join us by endorsing our response to Thriving Kids

On 20 August 2025, Minister Butler announced the Thriving Kids initiative, shifting children with disability, developmental delay, neurodivergence, and developmental vulnerabilities out of the NDIS into a $2 billion “foundational supports” program.

While ambitious, Reimagine along with many other advocates, peak bodies, parents, carers, and practitioners are concerned the proposal risks harm: it was not co-designed with families or practitioners, it underfunds the scale of need, and it places children into systems that are already failing.

Reimagine Australia has released our collective response: “First, We Build It” — a call to pause, co-design, and rebuild early childhood supports in ways that are inclusive, safe, and grounded in human rights and disability justice.

You can read our DRAFT Position Statement; First, We Build It here:https://reimagine.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/DRAFT-First-We-Build-It.pdf

We are inviting families, practitioners, organisations, and allies to endorse this statement. Endorsements will be included in our submission to the Minister, amplifying our united call for restorative reform.

If you share our concerns and vision, please take a moment to complete this form. By endorsing the statement, you add your voice to a growing coalition calling for reform that is co-designed, inclusive, and grounded in justice. Whether you are a parent, professional, community leader, or ally — your support matters.

Add your details here, by COB Friday 22 August, 2025, to become a co-signatory: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc8Hh9W6eknDT6tR7SiJ9WXaYNUn3zmYuoHyhO1-RFisitPdg/viewform

We have a short window of opportunity to make an impact, so please share this information widely amongst any networks you have across early childhood.

We have moved again but not to worry, we haven't moved far!

We are directly across the road from our previous office. So if you happen to forget, you will still see the AHTS cars and signage once you arrive 🤩

We are growing as a team, which means time for more space and exciting new projects... watch this space for what we have coming!

This week was a big one for Aim High! Another move for us into bigger premises to accommodate our growing team and expanding services. But don't worry, we haven't gone far! Just across the carpark 😆 We're still setting up but we have big plans for celebrations for a special August 🤫

What Dietitians do when supporting people with disability (it’s not just meal plans!)
🥣✋🚐

When people think of Dietitians, they often picture meal plans and weight loss advice. But in the disability space, it’s so much more than that.

We support people with disability in ways that are tailored, flexible, and deeply practical, such as:

✔️ Travelling to their homes – because getting to a clinic isn’t always easy or accessible
✔️ Creating sensory-safe environments – avoiding crowded waiting rooms and overstimulating spaces
✔️ Educating carers and support workers – so they feel confident preparing and serving meals
✔️ Managing feeding tubes and mealtime equipment – including routines, regimes, and safety
✔️ Reducing risk of health complications – that could impact quality of life, independence, or mobility
✔️ Supporting food variety and enjoyment – in a way that respects sensory needs and preferences
✔️ Helping build skills around eating – whether that’s independence, texture progression, or routine

Every person is different. That’s why Dietetic care in the disability space is highly individualised and empowering - focused on supporting real quality of life.

Love this!

Bad auntie, bad.

She couldn’t learn how to smoke a brisket for her nephew?

The nerve.

[screenshot of texts between Tiffy the Great and her non-brisket smoking sister. Sister sends image of proloquo app with Aidan having pushed “brisket” five times to indicate that he really wants some brisket. Her sister texts that she isn’t making no damn brisket. Tiffy, shown in green cause her sister is flawed in such a way that dictates she perceives android to be a superior device, tells her sister to fire up the pit for her nephew. Tiffys sister replies with “lmfao shiiiid.” Unacceptable. Tiffy tells her to “get to it, get to it!!!” But did she? No, she didn’t, as indicated by the final text that informs Tiffy that her son requested fries and she was putting them in the air fryer and ordered a frozen pizza to cook. She ends the message with she ain’t making a damn brisket.

Unacceptable. All around. Just bad.]
