Building homes for all Queenslanders - now and for the future

52 organisations representing people with disability, older people, families/carers and the disability, housing and community sectors have joined together to show their support for Queenslandโ€™s continued implementation of the Livable Housing Design Standard (LHDS) under the National Construction Code.

Accessible housing is not a luxury; itโ€™s a basic human right for all people.
Letโ€™s continue to build accessible homes now that meet the needs of both today and tomorrowโ€™s Queenslanders.

We are honoured to introduce one of our speakers for the Connect for Mental Health event, James Hill.

We asked James what drives him to speak about mental health:

"I use my experience and journey to demonstrate anyone can experience mental ill-health. I want to create an environment where people are able to recognise signs of declining mental health early and have an understanding of what interventions are available and how to access them. In order for people to speak openly, we need a safe environment and that begins with deeper understanding, compassion and empathy."

Join us to hear more from James and our other incredible speakers.
