You may have heard me say “I don’t go to work I go to GLAD, because I am glad to be there!”
Well, “there” is everywhere. Why be glad in one area of your life when you can be glad everywhere.
Then I thought, “well, what does GLAD actually mean to me?” and came up with the three principles that underline my mission:
Grateful- Am I truly grateful for this opportunity
Fulfilled- Will doing this bring value to others
These three principles are the measure by which I live Glad! I use GGF as the precursor to everything I say and do and you know what ..... that means I live in honesty, integrity and connection. Of course I’m still learning, and hope to keep learning all my life, but I have total confidence in my business, myself and my clients. These principles are the vehicle behind The Body Philosophy.
WHAT WE DO:
We develop Wellness Centres where you will receive quality, personal and compassionate care and support in every service we provide.
There are currently two Wellness Centres in Adelaide run by The Body Philosophy. One in Fullarton the other in Woodcroft. Open to the public they provide a wide range of services, GP, Physio, Podiatry, Reflexology, Relaxation and Remedial Massage, Dietician, Aquarobics, T’ai Chi, and more. Practitioners and Instructors are selected for their knowledge, experience, and most importantly, their attitude towards making a genuine difference in peoples lives. For practitioner details go to: www.choicewellness.com.au
2. Recruitment of Therapists
Always looking to meet like minded therapists and instructors to continue the learning journey together. Opportunities to join the Wellness Team and offer slithers of time to help practitioners build their businesses in thoughtful and compassionate businesses is my perspective. All the current team are independent business owners with a passion for making a difference in peoples lives. They want to build their businesses with integrity and be part of a multi-disciplinary team that work and progress new ideas together. They appreciate the value of contributing to expand the collective knowledge base.
3. Education
Learning as an ongoing lifelong skill is available to everyone. Sharing information and helping to direct focus assists everyone in finding their own unique life balance. With knowledge you can take your life where it’s never been before.
4. Online Community
I love face to face community building. You can’t give a reflexology treatment online:). However, I hope to bring the practitioners on board with a professional community in the future with articles that inform and discussions that inspire. Bear with me!
A BIT ABOUT ME
I have a background in business and I am a Reflexologist and trainer in Anatomy and Physiology. I have been in practice for 25 years in the UK and 10 years in Adelaide, Australia.
I have worked as the Complementary Therapy Manager and Consultant for BUPA UK and have been instrumental in developing wellness projects for Marks and Spencer (UK), Canons, David Lloyd, (health and fitness clubs) and supported other smaller companies in developing their wellness services. I was a consultant for evidence at The House of Lords Commission on Regulation of Complementary and Alternative Medicine for BUPA UK.
I have a passion for how the body works and reflects the environment both internal and external in daily life. This led me to train as a results coach and conduct many hours of research into the way we think and construct our individual lives, truth and addiction, and what true nutritional balance can do for the body and mind.
My GLAD is to develop a 360 approach to health and fulfilment for my clients, whether in developing business ideas, team leadership or working with clients in my clinic.
I am excited, grateful and fulfilled by the prospect of what we can create together. Look forward to sharing the journey with you. Let’s keep in touch. - Sarah
