Another day, another stop on Rachel's tour of local Mudgeeraba businesses!

Today we're featuring Shack and Co Café Mudgeeraba

This lovely café offers all-day breakfasts, share plates, lunch and desserts. They offer great catering for families and also provide a kid’s menu and lovely outdoor seating. The new owners Silky and Vish are so friendly and welcoming, and our team love their beautiful breakfasts!

Serving fresh fish and chips, burgers and salads, owners Peter and Peisie Hawkes love working in and being part of the Mudgeeraba community, and our team at AGTF highly recommend them for great food and even better service!

Lately our wonderful Funeral Director, Rachel, has been getting out into the community to visit some of the amazing local businesses in our Mudgeeraba Community!

The first stop on her tour was The Village B & B on Railway Street, Mudgeeraba.

Owners Liz and Richard moved from England and opened The Village Bed & Breakfast 10 years ago. Serving delicious food and lovely high teas, the pair love being part of the Mudgeeraba community, with so many small business owners that help each other and with a close knit feel.

The Village B & B also caters for many families following funerals at A Gentle Touch Funerals, and is a great choice for any post-service refreshments!

Last week was National Aged Care Employee Day, and our team celebrated by surprising the beautiful team at Estia Health Mudgeeraba with a visit from "The Coffee Lady" Lucia, from Cafe Mobile!

Aged care workers truly are underrated heroes in the healthcare industry, and it's a privilege to get to give back in these little ways to the people who provide selfless care to the seniors in our community.

Today is National Dying to Know Day - a day that aims to open conversations and dialogue about end of life planning and death care.

Often we find it difficult or scary to talk about death, dying and everything involved, rather choosing to leave it until it becomes a necessity. However, death is a part of life, and it doesn't have to be a scary thing!

Our challenge for you today is to reach out to a friend or family member (or pop in the comments!) and have a chat about what your ideal funeral would look like - do you want a certain song? What photos would you want to show? What kind of things would you like people to talk about in your eulogy?
