Book week is 3 weeks away, which makes this a great time to share the short-list for Speech Pathology Australia's book of the year awards. Reading with children and giving them access to books is a great way to improve many speech and language skills including phonological awareness (the sounds of speech), vocabulary, knowledge about the world and empathy. If you've found any books that your children love and you think that we should buy for the clinic, let us know!
