Listening to Crowded House - "Everywhere you go take the weather with you " touched a cord within me .
When you're having an especially good day , you want to wrap it up or bottle it or pull it out when needed on the not so good days !
So this image reminds us to take some of that magic with you wherever you go !
If you need to put it in a box or a jar , have a stone or a crystal that embodies that feeling - try it , it helps !
Have some magic on hand at all times & be willing to share it - the more you share , the more it comes back to you !
Magic is shared by a smile, a thank you , a helping hand or a simple random act of kindness towards someone or something.
There's a limitless supply out there!!! Enjoy the magic of this beautiful day .

Feeling out of sorts ??
It's amazing how life can be going along smoothly one moment & the next you can be sinking into a place that's uncomfortable or painful or just unpleasant .
Life happens & we can find ourselves facing some difficult issues, not knowing which way to turn or simply feeling unwell.
When we are "out of alignment " either physically, spiritually or emotionally even the smallest thing can seem like a big thing !
Take some time to firstly recognise that something's amiss , drop into your heart & let go of whatever is not at ease .
Sounds simple but practice really does make perfect & as Deepak says - a great place to practice this is in nature .
Visualise everything lining up like a line of soldiers or all the planets in a row.
Allow yourself to feel that realignment then Let Go!! Feel the shift & enjoy!

Celebrating Life!
It has been an amazing time for me recently celebrating my 60th birthday with family & friends.
To spend time with all your special people in the one room is incredible to say the least !
Many could not be with us but I am so grateful to all my dear friends & relatives who made such a big effort to help me share this wonderful occasion .
Even though we have our loved ones around us & we "know" how much they mean to us , it is a very special thing to do to take the time to feel that love & support & immerse yourself in that feeling. It's better than any drug !!
Take some time today & notice the wonders & gifts that surround us but we may take for granted.
It might be a whale jumping, a bird singing or a baby's smile that fills your heart with that special feeling.
Tell your loved ones how much they mean to you & tell yourself , I love you❤️

Decluttering .
I found this image today & thought how relevant it is .
As Spring is here we are cleaning , sorting , off loading , generally decluttering to make way for the new .
What we haven't worn or used or thought of for months sometimes years still finds a place to occupy space in our life .
It reminded me that it's a bit like those old thoughts , or beliefs or habits - if they're not useful or beautiful they are still taking up valuable space & energy in our lives .
So here's the challenge ! As well as Spring cleaning the house , add some new thoughts , actions & habits that ARE useful & beautiful .That includes drinking good water, eating fresh organic food where possible, doing some regular exercise that's really pleasant & thinking only happy healthy thoughts . Let go & make way for the new .

Getting out of our heads !!!
Operating from our heads is exhausting & stress forming !
When we start believing our own thoughts - we're in trouble !
What runs around up there is enough to send us all into a spin!
Thoughts become things so make sure you choose the right ones .
Alternatively start practicing dropping into your heart & operating from there!
This is the perfect place to operate from .
No judgement , no drama, no old belief systems to side track you from your true purpose.
Practice it today & notice how things change for you .

Good morning friends ...
As you know I am now practicing as a Wellness Mentor & one of the programmes I'm working on involves a 7 day challenge where you nominate 3 aspects of wellness that you wish to improve on. I'm looking for some volunteers to actually do this so so I get a greater understanding of what areas to focus on .
This involves actually doing it , recording the changes & feeding back to me daily ( can be private message - you don't have to go public)
If you'd like to be part of this -I'd really appreciate your feedback .
Contact me via message or email so I've got you on my list .
The payoff is a free session at the end to discuss it if you wish !
So excited to hear from you xx
To get started ...
• contact me to let me know when you're starting
• nominate the 3 things!
• make a pact with yourself that you'll commit to 7 days .
• practice 3 things every day towards that change.
• record those 3 things you've done each day.
• record how you feel
• notice what else changes
• message me every day
• take a deep breath, smile & pat yourself on the back for having a go !!!

Honouring Dads!
I still miss my dad & every day I think of something that I would love to share with him. His photo is my screen saver so I see him everyday & although he never used a computer I'm sure he would be delighted that this little machine can tell you so much !
He loved knowledge & was a very wise man in many ways but it was his love of life that's imprinted on my heart !
He loved his family & rejoiced in hearing of everyone's adventures or achievements .
He loved his friends, neighbours & his community. He loved especially to sing & like his dad was blessed with a beautiful voice. This has passed on to his sons & grandsons. ( & daughters of course but it's Father's Day! )
His sense of humour was amazing & he never failed to make us all laugh even when things were tough!
I also was fortunate to have a wonderful father in law whom however gruff on the outside was soft as butter on the inside . He adored & was adored by all his family especially the grandchildren who idolised him . My boys one day proudly announced that Grandpa had been a bush ranger when he was young ??? ( don't think Grandpa would have liked that but they thought it was cool!!)
My three boys are very lucky to also have a wonderful dad who loves them unconditionally . I used to tell them they were so blessed to have their dad as he let them do things that I never would have - so adventurous & daring!
And today I watch my son celebrate his first Father's Day - pretty special!
I know not everyone has had these experiences in their lives but I wanted to share the spirit of this today to honour the past, to enjoy the present & welcome the future for more wonderful dads!
Happy Fathers Day to all !!!!

Soar with the Eagles!
Yesterday I had the privilege to see a magnificent wedge tailed eagle circling overhead!
It occurred to me that that eagle could probably see every detail on my body as I viewed him and I was squinting against the bright sunshine!
I had the thought that it was a great opportunity to see things in a new light, seeing things as an eagle would , in detail & precision yet having no judgement on what I'm seeing .
As Spring approaches this is a perfect time to clear out the old & perhaps replace it with new vision & new hope for the future you wish for yourself.
My new 12 week program is about taking those steps towards the wellness you desire .
As I'm taking mine I welcome you to join me . Happy Spring everyone !

Finding the Serenity.
Yesterday I had the great joy of walking in the rainforest with two of my sons . We went to the Dorrigo National park & did the lovely walk to the waterfalls .
The forest is full of so many sensory delights, the smell of the forest awakens your nose to that unique aroma ,visually the vines wrapping themselves around anything they can to reach up towards the sun peeping through the canopy, hearing the sound of the waterfalls as we weave our way down & down.
I couldn't help but notice how everything in the forest is useful to something. Even the fallen trees are eventually home to the creeping vines or the moss spreading across the trunk forming a beautiful carpet of living green on the now dead tree.
The undergrowth providing shelter & nourishment to the forest dwellers - a rustle revealed a lyrebird almost undetectable against the background .
To sit by that waterfall & feel the energy that comes from that place gives such a charge yet at the same time a peaceful & serene feeling . What uniqueness.
This is definitely a place of wellness & so available to us all!

Day 30 - what talent / skill?
Well here it is at the end of the 30 day challenge & the last is obviously the hardest!
I'm noticing how easy it is to think outside of yourself but to actually acknowledge something special about yourself is the biggest challenge of all.
Have you considered that all the things you do in a day are just routine or you think everyone can do that or you don't give yourself credit for the things you do that happen to be particular to you!
So as I soul search for my talent I'm having a thought for the people I work with as a wellness mentor who find it difficult to allow their stars to shine!
I've always credited myself that I have the ability to see the brilliance in others - it seems so obvious to me ,
The real challenge is seeing that brilliance in yourself, every day, just the way you are with whatever you have right now!
This is my everyday challenge to practice that within myself & encourage & inspire others to do the same !

Day 29 - what family member / friend ?
I have so many family members & friends to be grateful for over the last 6 months that it is very hard to single out anyone !
However today I got to walk down the road with my granddaughter in my arms for the first time & it was very special !
How amazing that this time last week she was still in her mummy's tummy & here we were walking along the road together & loving life ! Thank you Haruki❤️💕💜😍

Day 28 - what small thing that happened !
Is it a small thing or a huge thing but today for the first time in my life I watched my baby son (now aged 23)holding my second son's baby for the first time !
You can never prepare for these moments nor can you measure the joy that this moment brings!
I will hold this image in my heart & hope that I will always be grateful for this small thing !

Day 27 - what small thing ?
Of course I am grateful for things like my phone & my iPad - we have already mentioned how technology has embellished our world!
However , being a lover of camping & the outdoors ,we can actually go without those things & be very happy in the process . There are some things though that make it hard to live without .
Life is definitely very different without a hot cup of tea !
Growing up the kettle went on when anyone arrived or when there was a crisis , a flood , a baby born or simply first thing in the morning before milking ! It was the shared joy for all ages in the family & continues to unite us whether here or overseas . A very fond memory is camping with some indigenous elders in the Kimberley , sitting around a campfire & sharing stories over a hot cup of tea !
Many disputes have been settled, many tears shed & many secrets shared over a hot cup of tea .
I look forward to continuing the tradition even though today it may be chai or green tea or coffee or chicory - the energy remains the same !

Day 26 - what expression.
I love a smile ! A smile can be revealing & say so much without a word!
Smiling is said to have many health benefits such as releasing endorphins which is stress relieving & it stimulates your immune system.
It is thought that smiling people are more trustworthy & make good leaders.
Children & babies respond very positively to smiles!
So why don't we use this more often ? Try it when you don't feel like it & see how it goes!

Day 24 - What challenge ?
I'm actually very grateful for this gratitude challenge . To take the time every day to acknowledge what you're grateful for has given me so much joy & has kept my mind focused in the best possible
way. It has been wonderful getting feedback from those doing the challenge as well .

Day 23 - Tradition
The tradition I love is that of shared meals around the dining table . It was my favourite time as the kids were growing up hearing their stories from the day & all discussing different opinions .
Still today the idea of large family gatherings around the table feels comforting & warming . My happiest times are family & friends sharing lovely food & wine telling stories, lots of laughing & love !
May this tradition live forever .

Day 22 - Story I am most grateful for .
I love telling stories & I also love hearing them especially ones that are inspiring & telling of real life situations . A couple that spring to mind are Turia Pitt & her amazing journey to recovery , Tara Mulvaney a young women who circumnavigated the South Island of NZ solo in a kayak but the story that stands out is an amazing one .
The most recent story & the one I am very grateful for is that of Paul Pritchard a mountaineer who recently climbed the Totem Pole in Tasmania 16 years after his first attempt at the same climb where a dreadful accident left him as a hemiplegic ( paralysed down one side) To watch this man abseil then climb this isolated pinnacle with the use of one arm & leg was something that I'm still in awe of .
You can see this story on Australian story or he has written 3 books . A story to remember!

Day 21 - what song ?
Music is such a powerful tool of emotion & so many songs bring very strong memories , tears , smiles or can even make you uncomfortable . There are so many songs that I could mention as potential standouts & they come from many eras & genres but the winner is ....... Dancing Queen!!
Who can ever forget the scene in Mama Mia where Meryl Streep & her companions sing & dance their way down to the wharf on the Greek island gathering women of all ages to end up at the water & then all jump in . The joy is palpable & Im laughing inside just thinking about it !
The opening riff of that song is enough to make me jump up & start moving. Thank you Abba ❤️

Day 19 - Touch
Touch is integral to our development . It is well documented that babies need touch to grow , develop & thrive .
As adults touch is probably something we take for granted until we don't have it . Isolation without physical contact can lead to many disturbing physical & psychological issues .
The touch I am grateful for today is the spontaneous touches that we give & receive from our loved ones & friends . Unfortunately it has become something that we have to observe as being appropriate or not but let's not forget how important a hug, a gentle touch of support or an affectionate pat can be .
Hugs for Health & Happiness!!!

Day 18 - Art that I am grateful for .
The artist that comes to mind is Michael Leunig .
I love his simplistic yet symbolic representation of life that brings a smile to your face or sometimes a tear . At the least his very unique art gives us something to think about . His messages come from the heart & I think encourage us all to see the world with less judgement & prejudice .

Knowing that you are loved must be the greatest knowledge of all !
To feel loved is the greatest gift of all & the most powerful key to healing & wellness .
This knowledge is something to cherish & be very grateful for !

Day 17 - Body
I could really go on & on about this one but simply stated - I am grateful for the healing ability of my body !
Isn't it simply incredible that the body can endure so much & keep regenerating & turning up day after day . It's so easy to focus on what isn't working properly or what we'd like to change in our looks rather than focusing on the wonders of all the things that happen automatically without instruction or coaching . For example breathing , our heart beat , repair & regeneration of damaged parts & our immune response to infection- to name but a few .
Keep up the good work body !!

Day 15 - Season
It's hard not love our winter weather ( 27 degrees + ) all be it a bit of a worry why it's so hot . However I love the thought of Spring coming & all that brings - the birds , the flowers , the weather etc . It's always a great time to think of new beginnings, cleaning out , de cluttering & General Spring Cleaning inside & out . It also signals that time when you get out your bike, your paddle board or your picnic blanket & enjoy the wonderful outdoors !

Day 14 - Sight
I never tire of the sight of the sun rising in the morning.
No matter what the day before has brought or what you're concerns are for the new day - the new dawn is always new & invigorating!
Even if it looks similar to one before it is never quite the same & something individual about every new morning - a new start & new potential to create the life we desire - that is the energy of the sunrise !!

Day 13- Abilities
This one is easy - I'm grateful for all the abilities I have taken for granted - to walk ,talk , smile, sing, dance ,laugh, cry , to hear, smell , to taste, to touch & be independent !
Life is very different without these & I now treasure these abilities!
