THE WORK IS THE EVIDENCE. 🦾⚡️

In combat sports, durability is the only currency that matters. Whether it's in the ring at Rajadamnern or the cage at Eternal MMA, the physical demand is absolute.

This isn't a team; it’s a list of professionals across different disciplines who understand that their output is limited by their mechanics. So far this year, these athletes have utilized the clinic to ensure their bodies can handle the load of their training and their bouts.

From world-class strikers to the next generation of talent, the goal remains the same: Fix the restrictions, build the resilience, and keep them in the hunt.

Shoutout to these warriors:

Pain isn’t always damage. Sometimes it’s a warning signal stuck on loop. 🔁

Remember, the brain is wired for survival and the nervous system becomes overprotective.

Physiotherapy works with that system, not against it.

We start where you feel safe. We load gently, move gradually, and show your nervous system — through repeated, positive experience — that movement is okay.

That your body can be trusted again.

This is called graded exposure. And it’s one of the most powerful tools we have.

Recovery isn’t just about muscles and joints. It’s about retraining the brain’s map of your body. 🧠

We don’t push through. We progress through. There’s a difference.

THE OUTPUT IS THE EVIDENCE.

This Saturday, Gennaro De Meo enters the arena for the final wave of the RWS April Inferno.

Fighting at Rajadamnern Stadium requires more than just skill—it requires an optimized chassis. Gennaro has put in the clinical work at Ikaika, fixing the mechanics and priming the engine. This isn’t a test; it’s the expression of the standard.

The preparation is over. Now, we witness the result.
Watch the takeover live. 👇🏽🔥

🗓 WHEN: Saturday, April 25th | 7:10 PM ICT
🌏 LIVE: On DAZN (Worldwide) or Workpoint TV (Thailand)

dealing with some mild shoulder issues. Here is shoulder symptom modification used in our assessment to give him an idea of what the long term fix is. We have a diagnosis, but maybe you can take a crack at it. He’ll be fine 😌

Game Plan:

1️⃣ Improve thoracic spine mobility

2️⃣ Strengthen serratus anterior and improve scapula mobility

3️⃣ Stretch pecs

4️⃣ Strengthen shoulder external rotators

If you need help with pain, injuries or overall performance, give us a shout! 📈

OWN THE SPACE. 🦾⚡️

Tomorrow at 7:30 AM, we return to the mats.

Week 1 was about clearing the path. Week 2 is about Ownership. Mobility without control is just a liability waiting to happen. Most "bad knees" are simply the cost of hips that have forgotten how to lead. Tomorrow, we stop being passive. We move into end-range strength and active stability, teaching the body to hold its ground when the pressure builds and the load gets heavy.

We aren't just looking for range; we are looking for authority over that range. No shortcuts. No mindless reps. Just the work required to be unbreakable.

Show up. Own the movement. 👇🏽🔥

🦶 Why your feet are the foundation of everything 👇

Your foot arch isn’t just structural — it’s active. The small intrinsic muscles inside your foot dynamically support your arch under load. Weakness here means increased stress travelling up to your ankle, knee, and hip.

Weaker foot muscles = balance issues. Research shows intrinsic foot muscle weakness is an independent predictor of balance deficits. These muscles provide critical sensory feedback to your brain for motor control during walking, running, and sport.

Your feet drive your hips. Studies show that training your foot intrinsics increases glute max, glute med, and quad activation during single-leg tasks — the exact movements that matter in sport and rehab.

💎 Most rehab programs ignore the feet entirely. Ikaika: Integrated Recovery & Performance, we assess the full kinetic chain — because turning pain into performance starts from the ground up. 👟📈

We often talk about finding the PERMANENT solution to pain and dysfunction rather than the quick, bandaid fix.

Well here you go. This is why we do exercises. This is why we push hard.

I don’t make the rules. Nature does. Everyone wants to bake their cake and eat it, but at the end of the day, if you’re not willing to put in the work and be consistent, you will get results directly proportional to what you’ve ACTUALLY done, not what you’ve tried to do.

This is why we work so much on educating people on understanding how to use their bodies rather than giving generic rubs and exercises.

If you’re looking for someone to do everything for you, good luck. If you’re looking to improve after 1 session good luck. Those people just spin on a hamster wheel and bounce from practitioner to practitioner with no end in sight. We see it all the time.

If you’re willing to actually commit to something whether it’s enjoyable or not, you’ll more often than not get the outcome you’re seeking.

REBUILD THE ENGINE. 🦾⚡️

Tomorrow at 7:30 AM, we hit the mats at CMBT to start a new cycle.

The hips and knees are where your power lives—or where it dies. Most people ignore the mechanics until something snaps. We don't.

Week 1 is about the foundation. We’re stripping it back to the clinical basics: clearing restrictions, fixing the tracking, and making sure your body can actually handle the load you’re trying to put on it. No fluff, just the protocols required to move like an athlete.

Be on the mats and ready to work. 👇🏽🔥

THE STANDARD IS RAISED. 🛡️⚡️

The strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack. Today, we reinforce the line.

We are proud to officially welcome to the Ikaika Team. 🦾

Zack doesn’t just understand the mechanics of the human body; he understands the spirit required to push it to the edge. With a background forged in the elite environments of Sheffield United Academy in the UK, Zack has seen firsthand what separates the amateur from the professional.

He is a Physiotherapist who refuses to settle for "symptom relief." Like us, he hunts the cause. He builds Structural Armor so that long-lasting change isn't just a goal—it’s the result.

From the basketball court to the triathlon line, and from the weights room to the peaks of Mt. Snowdon, Zack is a practitioner who lives the standard he preaches. He knows that to be truly functional is to be capable of meeting any challenge, for as long as possible.

He is here to ensure your chassis is as resilient as your intent. Whether you’re recovering from the battle or priming for the next one, Zack is the extra set of elite eyes on your mechanics.

Welcome to the fold, brother. 🔥

⚠️ ATTENTION SPAN REQUIRED ⚠️

Explaining to our student about how the brain and nervous system affects treatment and recovery from whiplash in a patient.

Key points:

1. The brain is programmed for survival. It’s designed to protect you from the outside world and from yourself.

2. Pain and muscle inhibition which presents as weakness are two big ways it does this.

3. Much of rehab is reprogramming the brain and nervous system to let it know it is okay for the body to go back to doing its job and the threat is no longer there.

4. We want little to induce little to no pain in the initial stages of treatment.

5. Hands on treatment such as massage and joint mobilisations are used to down regulate or calm down the nervous system.

6. We’re not giving the patient in this case sets and reps. We are going by what she feels (I know) and not pushing through pain. We stop as soon as pain creeps in.

7. Education and body awareness have been major keys to rehab anecdotally

8. Physio should be more than just vague rubs and exercises

9. We build strength, load up tissues and train her to return to everything she wants to do in life as she progresses

10. We have network of professionals even outside of the physio space that can help you get back to normal life after you have a car accident 👌
