Here’s 3 things that worsen pigmentation without people realising…

• Heat – saunas, hot yoga, steam and excessive heat can stimulate melanocytes.
• Hormones – pregnancy, contraception and hormonal fluctuations are key triggers for melasma.
• Sun exposure – even small amounts of UV can deepen existing pigment.
