I would like to share with you my process of intuitive drawing to music.
* Get all your materials ready which you will need to draw or paint with.
* Close your eyes and listen to a song.
* Observe without any judgement what the music does to you. (Which colours do you hear? Does the music evoke memories or images? Do you feel any particular sensations in your body whilst listening? What emotions arise whilst listening?
* When you’re ready open your eyes and let your intuition guide you. Grab a colour which feels right and start drawing/painting.
* Be curious and try not to overthink what you’re doing. Remember there are no mistakes.

It is an activity which allows you to play and make mistakes without any judgement.
The process of following your heart and intuition allows you to connect to to your deepest self.
It assists letting go and being in the present moment to explore and express your feelings.

Hello beautiful community, I wanted to share some more information about the workshops I’m going to hold during school holidays.

6th of July, 10a.m.-11:30a.m.
Colour your feelings:
A Creative Arts Experience for your child to explore what makes them feel good.
We will be having a little chat about emotions and how it is okay that we may experience a different colour pallet every day.
After I’ll ask your child what makes them feel good, to then colour in their heart with all the things that bring them joy. This exercise allows to explore and understand what makes them happy, and how they can create more of these happy moments.

13th of July, 10a.m.-11:30a.m
Nature Collage A fun little activity which will let your child be expressive with natural materials and learn about the nature they’re surrounded by.

Working with natural ingredients is a grounding activity which allows to create and be mindful at the same time.

|| I encourage your child to participate independently. However for toileting reasons or other requiremts we ask parents to please remain on side. There will be cacao available and you can use this time to mingle.

Hello beautiful community, I believe it’s about time to introduce myself.
This is me Carolin, I’m living in the picturesque South West, WA. I’m a Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapist and currently studying counselling to deepen my understanding of healing and personal growth. I’m passionate about creating and love that creative arts can be used as a tool for mindfulness, self exploration and many other aspects.

Sometimes it is hard to let go, creative arts therapy has taught me to be free of limitations whilst creating. It is not about creating a beautiful art piece but rather about the process. I’m excited for the journey to come, to meet beautiful people and to exchange knowledge with each other.

Come and join me to create a collage to explore what it is you want and need to feel better physically and emotionally. What is it that I need? Present times make it often hard for us to listen to our own personal needs. It may even be difficult to become aware of them as we are so involved in our day to day life & stressors. Especially our teens are a critical period in our lifespan where we try and find out who we are. High social norms & pressures may hinder us as an individual to take the time to think about what it is that we value for our personal life & what we need to feel good. Creating a collage can allow us to raise self-awareness in a fun way. I am looking forward sharing with you a tool which helped myself a lot on my own journey of healing and letting go.

What a beautiful experience it was! I’ve taken a few days to integrate last Saturdays wellnes expo at .refuge . Meeting so many beautiful and curious people gathering, exchanging and experiencing together. This is what our community needs. I’ve been honoured to hold a workshop there and through this a new door opened. After many requests about more creative arts workshops I’ve decided to launch my own business ‘CreativeRoots Down South’. I am excited for future workshops and looking forward sharing creative tools for exploration and self discovery.
