Therapy Service for Children and Adolescents with Disabilities and/ or Functional Difficulties

Potential Therapy Services for Children was established in 2014 and was set up to provide specialised occupational therapy, speech pathology and physiotherapy to children / adolescents with disabilities and functional difficulties. Whether that be difficulty learning to write or difficulty using scissors, difficulty with play skills and playing with other children, difficulty participating in school and classroom routines and activities due to sensory sensitivities/attention and concentration difficulties or difficulty regulating their own emotions. We have therapy rooms as well as a sensory motor gym. We work collaboratively from a family centred, strengths focused model to achieve positive functional outcomes for children.

AFTER SCHOOL GROUPS
We are excited to offer a variety of new after-school groups in Term 4.

Led by our Allied Health Assistant, these groups are designed to provide a space for kids and teens to socialise and build connections in a structured and supported environment.

🎨 Create and Connect
Participants will engage in creative activities of their choice such as painting, sculpture, drawing, jewellery making and much more (suggestions welcome)!

10 - 13 yr olds: Tuesdays 3.30-4.30pm
14 - 17 yr olds: Tuesdays 4.30-5.30pm
Cost: $35 per session

✂️ Construct and Connect
Participants will be invited to engage in construction activities of their choice such as lego, box construction and much more (suggestions welcome)!

8 - 10 yr olds: Thursdays 3.30 - 4.30pm
Cost: $30 per session

🎨✂ Create and Construct
Build connections and make new friends while participating in a range of create and construction activities

11 - 13 yr olds: Thursdays 4.30 - 5.30pm
Cost: $30 per session

YOUNG EXPLORERS
Ages 3 - 6 years
Wednesday 25th September at 9.30am - 10.30am
Cost: $25 per child
(Parents are required to stay and supervise their child/children)

NINJA WARRIOR
Ages 7 - 12 years
Wednesday 25th September 2pm - 3pm
Cost: $25 per child
(Parents can stay or drop their child/children off)

PRE-KINDY PROGRAM

Commencing 21st May 2024

Potential Therapy Services is pleased to offer a specialised pre-kindy program led by our experienced physiotherapist.

This six week program is designed to support the unique developmental needs of young children including motor skills, balance, playground confidence and social and communication skills in preparation for school.

We invite everyone to bring a piece of fruit to share at the end of the session. There will also be tea and coffee available for parents with time to socialise or ask our physio any questions regarding your child's development.

Tuesdays at 10am - 11am

21st May 2024 - 25th June 2024

Cost: $120

Sessions may be covered by private health insurance or NDIS funding.
