For the past six weeks we’ve had 5th year optometry student Raghad with us for her placement, and it’s been such a pleasure having her as part of the See Optometry team. 👓

With her final day tomorrow, we celebrated with a team dinner at the Royal Family Hotel. Wishing you all the best, Raghad, as you finish your studies. You’ll make a wonderful optometrist! 👏✨

At last week’s BNI meeting, Martin dived into a fascinating topic: how strokes can affect vision, balance, and mobility, and why checking eye function is such an important part of recovery. 👁️

Vision changes after a stroke can make everyday tasks like walking, reading, or even finding your balance feel harder, but with the right assessment and support, there’s a lot we can do to help.

Another round of school vision screenings! 👓📚

Recently, we provided free vision screenings for all Year 7 students at Victor Harbor High School.

The screening assessed clear vision, visual endurance, eye teaming, and general eye health. It also explored how these factors can impact learning, focus, and classroom performance.

Early detection of vision issues plays an important role in supporting a child’s success at school and in life, helping them see clearly and reach their full potential.
