For some people, independence might look like:
✔️ Choosing their own daily routine
✔️ Making decisions with trusted support
✔️ Building skills over time
✔️ Being active in the community
✔️ Asking for help—and being empowered to do so

A huge thank you to Aquatic Education for coming out and delivering this engaging, hands-on session tailored to real-world needs. For some people, independence means living on their own. For others, it means having the right support in place to make choices, pursue goals, build relationships, and enjoy everyday moments that matter most. 💙

There’s no single definition of what an “independent life” should look like—and that’s the beauty of it.

Real support isn’t about taking over; it’s about empowering people to live life their way, on their terms. It’s about choice, dignity, inclusion, and recognising strengths rather than limitations. When we embrace different paths to independence, we create communities where everyone belongs and can thrive. 🌱
