If you’re a busy parent, or simply just looking for a little ‘me’ time over the school holidays, I have some additional yoga classes on offer over the next two weeks!

Each class will focus on fun ways of moving mindfully, balancing our bodies & stretching away stress!

Love is in the air…. As Valentines Day is almost here, I thought it would be a lovely opportunity to not only acknowledge the love we have for others but also to focus on the most important aspect of love - Self love 💜

We often tend to give so much of ourselves to our children, family, work life & friends that we overlook the need to nurture ourselves. Yoga is an excellent way to rejuvenate & reconnect to our inner calm. Sometimes it’s easier said than done, but finding the time to care for yourself & taking a break when you need it the most, will not only benefit you but also those around you.

Remind yourself today & every day…

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga, working deeply into the body with asanas (poses) that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles of yoga.

Generally each pose is held for 3 to 5 minutes, allowing the deeper, less flexible tissues in your body the time to stretch.

Yin yoga will improve your overall flexibility, joint mobility and increase range of motion.

This practice also allows you to relax and calm the mind and body which helps to reduce stress or anxiety and restore your energy levels.

All of the poses in yin yoga are detoxifying, through stimulation of the connective tissues and massaging the internal organs. Toxins are released and flushed from the body with poses such as twists, bends and forward folds.

Connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load, which is why poses are held for a longer period of time. If you gently stretch connective tissue by holding a yin pose for a long time in this way, the body will respond by making it a little longer and stronger – which is exactly what you want.

A regular Yin yoga practice can create self-transformation, internal healing and balance the prana (energy) within the body and mind.

If you are new to yoga or finding it hard to choose which practice is right for you, I thought I’d share some info to give you a little insight into the classes I will be teaching.

Monday - Slow Flow Vinyasa - 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Wednesday - Yin Yoga - 6:30pm- 7:30pm

Simply send me a message if you would like to trial either class or call me for any further questions you may have.

In Sanskrit, Vinyasa means ‘to place in a special way’ or in other words, to move with mindful intention.

Vinyasa is a dynamic form of yoga that links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body.

Bringing awareness to each movement whilst flowing from one pose to the next. The pace of the flow can vary depending on the type of class you choose for your practice.

Slow flow classes are good for beginners because they are taught at a gentler pace that allows you to build a mind-body connection and really learn each pose before practicing at a faster tempo.

Intermediate and Advanced classes are designed to take your practice to the next level. They are generally a faster paced, more demanding practice — both mentally and physically.

Vinyasa also teaches mindfulness and self-reflection through witnessing each movement, breath, sensation, thought and feeling, which helps to create insight into who we really are and how we wish to live our lives.

You will receive so many benefits from practicing yoga and I look forward to sharing these with you soon.

I’d love for you to experience your own inner peace outdoors, within my new ‘at home’ yoga studio.

I will be offering two different classes per week at this stage. Hoping to build up to more classes in the future.

No matter what your age, fitness or movement levels are right now, everybody is welcome!

I will be offering Dynamic Vinyasa flows & Yin Yoga with breathing techniques & meditation throughout each class.

Welcome to my new Calm Connections Yoga & Meditation ‘at home’ studio in the Redlands, Bayside area.

My name is Meagan and I am super excited to have this opportunity to begin teaching yoga classes from my happy place, surrounded by Mother Nature.

I have created Calm Connections with the intention of providing a safe & peaceful space for our community to practice yoga & find your inner calm.

I am a recently qualified Yoga & Meditation Teacher and a registered member of Yoga Australia, with a passion to help others lead healthier, happier & more balanced lives.

My self practice over the past 6 years has had such a positive impact on my own personal growth, not only spiritually but also physically & emotionally that I felt compelled to start teaching & sharing this gift with others.

I will be offering the following styles of yoga for ALL levels & ALL ages (Beginners welcome) Vinyasa flow, Hatha & Yin Yoga with pranayama (breathing techniques) & meditation weaved throughout each class.
