Thanks for visiting my page. I will tell you a little about myself, how I discovered yoga and how it's lead me to become a yoga instructor. I first started going to yoga to help with chronic lower back problems and sciatica. After trying all types of western medicines to no avail, I was astounded by the immediate benefits experienced through yoga. This sparked an internal desire to understand more about the intimate link that exists between body, mind, and emotions. Since my first classes in the UK I've enjoyed practising many different forms of yoga with a variety of inspiring & international teachers; from Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Bikram Yin yoga, pregnancy and baby yoga. With all theses different styles, Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga are my personal favourites. I decided to become a yoga teacher in 2011 initially so I could have yoga in my life every day, and to share with others the infinite benefits yoga possess and to assist them in their own healing journeys and personal challenges and I trained through My Health Yoga of Brisbane achieving my level 1 certification. As a teacher, my style of yoga is an eclectic, ever changing mix from all the different styles of yoga I have practised over the years. I incorporate strong alignment principles, breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation taught from a gentle happy heart, drawing upon all of my knowledge and experience of yoga, metaphysics, healing, and philosopy. I'm interested in sharing my knowledge and love of yoga and the wonderful far ranging benefits it possesses with as many people as possible and I'm passionate about teaching, from beginners, seniors, kids’ and everything in-between.
