The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause.

Are you or someone close to you experiencing menopause but don’t know much about the condition and would like to learn more? You aren’t alone.

Menopause affects all women in different ways, most of them unpleasant, however the topic is rarely discussed.

When south coast health practitioner Jo Marjoram engaged Emma Magill (right) to assist with an upcoming screening of the M Factor in Huskisson, she was aware it had previously screened in Warrawong at the Gala to a very full house.

This screening includes a panel discussion after the film where south coast health experts including herself, Dr Chelsea Ricketts, Kara Roberts and Rebekah Keogh will answer questions raised via an in-house app.

The film explores first-hand accounts and treatment options which can be discussed in the forum afterwards.

The one-hour film screens at Huskisson Pictures on June 5 and tickets for the not-for-profit event can be purchased through Eventbrite.

The service offers expert advice and support for women and their healthcare providers regarding concerns about potential exposures during this important time. This includes concerns about prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and radiation, among others.

Weekly face-to-face appointments are also available at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick to those who are eligible.

If English is not your first language, an interpreter can be arranged to ensure you receive the support you need!
