π³ Many pharmacy reward or loyalty cards (like Amcal Rewards, Priceline Sister Club, TerryWhite Chemmart Rewards, and others) specifically exclude prescription medicines and pharmacy dispensary services from earning points or using rewards to pay for them. These exclusions exist because prescription medicines are regulated differently and cannot be discounted or credited through loyalty schemes under current health laws and terms of the programs.
π For example:οΏ½β’ Choice Rewards terms state that points cannot be earned or redeemed on prescription purchases. οΏ½β’ Other pharmacy reward programs also list prescription drugs as excluded products under their terms and conditions.
π In Australia, legally prescribed medicines are regulated healthcare items β not typical retail products β and there are strict rules about how they are sold and subsidised through schemes like the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
