TGA update
🚨 Important Announcement 🚨 As a Dentist who specialises in facial aesthetics, I'm dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of my patients. Recently, the Therapeutic Goods Association (TGA) introduced new guidelines aimed at enhancing transparency and safety in the cosmetic industry.
However at the same time whilst aiming to be transparent, it also makes it harder for potential patients to seek a practitioner who aligns with their aesthetic and practices safe and ethical cosmetic medicine, due to not being able to advertise any prescription medication treatments that are offered or posting any before/after images on their social media (existing patients will know how particular I am about the accuracy of B&A photos)
In compliance with these regulations, I want to inform you that I’ve had to make some adjustments to Sculpt Aesthetics social media content. Specifically, all before and after photographs suggesting the use of prescription medications have been removed. While understanding this may impact the visual representation of my work, it's essential to ensure these regulatory requirements are met.
What does this mean for you as a patient:
- Our website is undergoing a change due to these regulations so I ask for your patience while this is being implemented and if you have trouble booking please get in contact with me asap
- Booking systems will look different from this point forward. Please follow these guidelines for making appointments:
- If you are a NEW patient - please continue to book under “new patient consultation and/or treatment” ONLY, there is opportunity to comment in your appointment note about your concerns for your upcoming appointment.
- If you are an existing patient and require an appointment for a prescription related treatment - please book under “existing patient - consultation and treatment”. The only treatments that existing patients can specifically select are those that only involve skin treatments, like our PRP treatments, chemical peels and skin needling. PlasmaLux Rejuvenation also involves prescription cocktails tailored to patient needs so this won’t be advertised, either.
Rest assured, my commitment to providing high-quality, safe and ethical cosmetic treatments remains steadfast. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please don't hesitate to reach out by coming in for a consultation. I will not be able to discuss anything related to prescription drug treatments with you via message, email or any other form of communication other than in person during a consultation. Your trust and well-being are my top priorities. Thank you for your understanding and continued support
