Leo New Moon 25th July 2025

Since Mercury entered Leo in Late July there have been a number of events in the sky that have been accentuating the Leo, Gemini and Virgo signs that include Mercury going retrograde in Leo, and whenever Mercury turns retrograde whatever is going on in Virgo and Gemini will always be more pronounced due to Mercury ruling these signs. Uranus and Venus have both entered Gemini this month and Mars and the south node have been having a purging dance and clearing the decks in Virgo over the last month as well.

If you check the house topics of the Leo, Gemini and Virgo houses of your chart you may have noticed that these topics have been getting unsettled, changed and broken down over the last month.

This Leo New Moon will be another piece in the story that will open a new cycle in whatever has been unsettled, changed and broken down over the last month.
The New Moon will be occurring at 2 degrees of Leo, Mercury who is retrograde will also be in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius will be exactly opposite the New Moon. This says to me that whatever is going on now has the potentially to purge some ugly skeletons from the past you have kept hidden away and the revealing and acknowledging of these skeletons will help you finally put it all behind you for good and by doing this a new cycle that feels lighter and more hopeful will open up.

If the past hasn’t come back to bite you, you can just be dealing with a pretty intense situation that forces change whether you like it or not. Neptune and Saturn will be forming a supportive trine aspect to the New Moon indicating hope, healing and renewal are possible if you are willing to be pragmatic and grown up about the situation.

This Leo New Moon will bring with it some not so pleasant situations but sometimes we need to experience this so we can move forward lighter, clearer and not bearing the burdens of the past.

Capricorn Full Moon 11th July 2025

This Full Moon, as with any Astrology event that occurs in the Saturn ruled sign of Capricorn will bring with it a feeling of heaviness and melancholy, burdened by duty, responsibility and hard work and for some accolades, for a job well done after much effort.

Capricorn is a sign that reaches the top after many trials, tribulations, setbacks and arduous effort. Many people that I have read Astrology for that have a strong emphasis in Capricorn in their natal chart have had to overcome some hefty life challenges and have really put in the work to overcome them and turn their life around. Capricorn can be a resilient strong sign but at the same time suffer from chronic negativity and generally think everything is fu**ed and everybody sucks. Once a Capricorn can get drop the bu****it pessimistic attitude, stop playing the victim and do the work, there is nothing they can’t achieve.

A Full Moon in Capricorn can highlight any government shenanigans and the authority figures in our life. It can bring realisations about where you haven’t been showing enough responsibility in your life and what we need to do to correct this.
The Full Moon will occur at 18 degrees of Capricorn and Jupiter will be opposite the Full Moon. Jupiter generally brings a stroke of luck, optimism, prosperity and a strong sense of faith but because Jupiter is opposite the Full Moon we might find our faith is tested and realise if we really want to make something of ourselves we need to get up off our arse and work because it’s not very often we get want we want by sitting around doing nothing and complaining about how unfair this life is.

The ruling planet of this Full Moon is Saturn and Saturn is at 1 degree of Aries, about to turn retrograde which will happen on the 13th and is conjunct Neptune who recently turned retrograde. When a planet changes directions, it usually brings a twist of fate or change in circumstance. So, whatever this Full Moon brings to light will put you on another path and shift your perspective to do things differently. Mercury is also slowly down to turn retrograde around the time of the Full Moon adding to the power of change. I also believe that when a planet changes directions, the events and themes that get brought up can feel like we have no power or control in the flow of events and reminds me that I’m not in control of everything and all I can do is accept what is happening and let go of control and just go with the flow.

The general Astrology of this year is about doors beginning to close and new ones opening and this Full Moon will be another piece and turning point to that story.

Uranus Transiting Gemini

Uranus will enter Gemini on the 7th of July and begin an 8-year transit of the Mercury ruled sign. It will go in and out of Gemini and Ta**us until April 2026 due to Uranus turning retrograde in early Gemini and then returning to Ta**us to wrap up its 8-year transit of Ta**us.

When a planet transits a sign, what happens is the sign modifies how the planet expresses itself. You can think of it like the planet is the “what” and the sign is the “how”.

So, with Uranus being the “what” we need to consider what Uranus represents which include, freedom, rebellion, revolution, sudden change and events that you didn’t see coming. Uranus is also associated with breakthrough and big leaps in science and technology.

Uranus has no problems breaking up anything that is stagnant and holding you back from freedom and from doing your own unique thing. Uranus isn’t interested in keeping life stable and the same, it wants you to take a radically different path that’s not like anything you have known before.

If Gemini is the “how” we need to consider what Gemini is made of and how this will flavour and modify Uranus while it’s transiting Gemini. To know what a sign is made of the main things to consider are its element, modality, polarity and ruling planet.

Gemini’s modality is mutable. Mutable signs are always at the end of a seasons indicating a move from on state of being or situation to another, so mutable signs are very much associated with change, movement and transitioning. Mutable signs are also associated with more than one thing going on at once.

Gemini’s element is air. The air element is associated with ideas, communication, thinking and sharing ideas. It’s also considered a social and connective element.

Gemini polarity is masculine. Masculine signs like to get up and gets things done. They don’t wait around for s**t to happen. They make s**t happen.

Gemini’s ruling planet is Mercury. A sign that is ruled by Mercury is associated with communication, mates, technology, brothers, commerce, transportation, media, going from one thig to another or anything that goes from point A to point B.
With Uranus being a planet that brings fast passed radical change in a sign that makes s**t happen and is not consistent we can’t expect life as it is now to be the same in 8 years’ time, and this will especially relate to the Gemini house topics of your natal chart.

Both Uranus and Gemini are associated with media, intellect, science and technology so there will be fast paced and revolutionary change when it comes to science and technology advancements, social media and how we communicate and broadcast information.

Uranus’s 8-year transit of Gemini will be a fast paced and revolutionary time where nothing will stay the same. And if you’re someone that needs consistency and routine to feel at peace you will have no choice but to adopt a different aptitude to change. And who knows you may even begin to love it.
