☀️ Heatwave Update ☀️
With hot weather ahead, we’re taking extra steps to keep both clients and staff safe, cool, and supported.
Please remember:
• Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty
• Stay indoors during the hottest parts of the day where possible
• Use fans or air conditioning if available and keep blinds or curtains closed
• Wear light, loose clothing
• Take regular breaks and allow time to cool down
• Let us know if you’re feeling unwell, dizzy, overly tired, or uncomfortable
🧊 Hydration support
Hydrolyte and water can be organised for clients and staff during this heat. Please contact the office if this would be helpful.
☀️ Extra precautions
Staff are asked to be mindful of heat exposure, especially when travelling between visits, and to continue checking in on clients during shifts and watching for signs of heat stress.
We’re also making adjustments to rosters where needed to reduce heat exposure, including reviewing travel, adjusting service times, and rescheduling non-essential supports during extreme heat.
If conditions feel unsafe at any time, or if you have concerns about yourself or someone else, please contact the office straight away.
💙 Please stay safe out there! We’re always contactable if you need support or have any concerns.
