Wagga parkrun run report, #368, 22/11/25
An overcast but cool start to a late November parkrun at Lake Albert today. For our Tutu event (the 22nd Nov), we had 152 parkrunners, with 6 tourists from places such as Young, Canberra and Wauchope joining us today, and 6 new time parkrunners! Thankyou to the parkrunners who wore Tutu’s to todays event for making this a bright beginning to the weekend!
Shoutout to Vahid Rafiei KarkvandI on completing your 50th parkrun today! Welcome to the 50 milestone club!
22 personal bests were achieved today. Kudos goes to: Max Gray, Sam Murphy, Hayley Morris, Mauren Stumpf, Harris Mitter, Jared Milne, Willam Paton, Rebel Brooker, Bailey Sorague, Kate Kemp, Paul Lockley, Belinda Castle, Zahli Humphries, Jennie Burns,Maddison McKenna, Helena Lawrie, Nash Humphries, Kyle Burgess, Phillip Nott, Parla Jaari and Shabman Azarm! Well done!
Thankyou to our wonderful volunteers, who without todays even wouldn’t have run. Nicole Blackstock (Marshal), Emma Davenport (Tail Walker), Colin Doggett (Timekeeper), Dawn Doggett (Barcode Scanner), Wendy Harper (Photographer), Heidi McGrath (Run Director), Chris Nocente (Pre-Event Check), Andrew Pert, Sandy Su (Finish Tokens), Daniel Wines (Barcode Scanner).
Next week we are in need of a barcode scanner x 2, marshal and someone on finish tokens in order for our event to go ahead. If you’ve not volunteered before, it is a lovely time of year to get involved and a great way to give back to our community. All core volunteers also get a free coffee at Mock Orange Café on Saturday morning after!
Thankyou everyone for being involved, and see you next parkrunday (next Saturday)!
