So often we hear people tell us during consults “they said I just needed to push through the pain or breastfeeding hurts”. Well spoiler alert, it doesn’t have to be like this! Ni**le pain can be excruciating but very often it can be overcome with some experienced help. If you have have a friend or relative who is going through this at the moment and it’s not improving maybe suggest a second opinion by an IBCLC or if it’s you that is going through this it is possible to get you back on track to a comfortable and enjoyable breastfeeding or expressing journey.
