Flood equipment and free training for volunteers.

Wagga Wagga City Council’s Resilient Response Project is providing flood response equipment and volunteer training for local organisations to ensure our community is better prepared to respond to disaster events.

Volunteers based in the Wagga Wagga local government area can take advantage of free training such as Mental Health First Aid, Provide First Aid and CPR training.

This project is possible through a grant from the NSW Government’s Supporting Spontaneous Volunteers Program.

The training will take place from August to November 2025. Read more: https://news.wagga.nsw.gov.au/news-articles/2025/july-2025/resilient-response-project-to-provide-equipment-and-training-for-volunteers

🚨 SHOCKING DECISION: Defibrillators Removed from NSW Police Vehicles 🚨

In an unbelievable move, NSW Police have made the decision to remove defibrillators from frontline police vehicles. These lifesaving devices have helped officers save countless lives β€” often arriving at emergencies before ambulances.

Removing defibs puts lives at risk, especially in rural and regional areas where every second counts. Cardiac arrest doesn’t wait. It doesn’t care about policies or budgets. It demands an immediate response β€” and defibs are one of the only tools proven to increase survival.

This decision is not just disappointing β€” it’s dangerous.

πŸ’¬ If you believe every officer should be equipped to save a life, speak up. Contact your local MP. Raise your voice. Lives depend on it.
