I was delighted to get news from the government that an Urgent Care service has been established in Wagga, providing local patients with bulk-billed treatment for conditions that are not life-threatening but require urgent attention.
In a first for NSW, seven GP clinics will provide 100 appointments a week to care for local people.
It’s a fantastic boost to health care for local families but just as importantly, it will take a lot of pressure off the hospital emergency department which is doing a great job but faces an enormous workload.
Delivered in partnership with the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network, the new service will be offered Monday to Friday all year round.
