Sleep is an important part of overall health and wellbeing, helping our bodies and minds recover, recharge and stay strong.
Poor sleep over time can increase the risk of health problems such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity and mental health challenges. Getting enough quality sleep supports energy, focus, mood and long-term health.
Here are three simple ways to improve your sleep health:
β’ Keep a regular sleep routine - Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time each day, even on weekends.
β’ Create a calm sleep space - Turn off screens, dim the lights and give your body time to wind down before bed.
β’ Limit caffeine late in the day - Avoid coffee, energy drinks and sugary drinks in the afternoon and evening.
