Celebrated a very special milestone last weekend — 40 years of marriage 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️ to my amazing husband, Don. Feeling incredibly grateful to have shared this journey together. Even more so, to have partied with our four wonderful now adult children and partners 💕 by our side, along with friends Kerry and Peter (groomsman) who were both at the wedding. Life moves quickly and ever so thankful for family, love, togetherness, friendship and the memories ✨ we’ve made.

Today we pause to remember and honour the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of all who have served - including my paternal grandfather Herbert Slater and his brother Lionel Slater. On this ANZAC Day, we reflect with gratitude on those who gave so much for our country. Their legacy of bravery and mateship continues to inspire us every day. Lest we forget.🌺

We were so touched to receive a beautiful hamper 🎁 from one of our patient families after a dental GA session this week 🦷. This was accompanied by the following gracious note.

I truly love every working day, but school holidays are always an extra special highlight😊. There’s something so joyful 💖 about days filled with children coming in for their regular dental check-ups. Today’s standout moment 👏 was a beautiful surprise 🌈—one family brought in drawings, including my very own updated portrait! 🎨The effort, kindness, and thoughtfulness behind this gesture meant so much ✨. I absolutely love seeing children and being part of their dental journey🦷.

On Monday we were so touched by the generosity of one of our lovely patients, who brought in a freshly baked homemade fruit cake to share with us.🍰💛 We feel incredibly lucky to care for such thoughtful and generous people. 😊 There’s a real sense of belonging within our practice that we all appreciate. 🦷✨ Feeling very grateful for the kindness that walks through our doors 🙏.

Just back from a relaxing long weekend away visiting family in beautiful Nambucca Heads 🌊☀️ .
Morning swims at the beach 🏊‍♀️, long relaxing walks🚶‍♀️, and of course, a little browsing through the local shops 🛍️.
There was no shortage of delicious food 🍽️ , wine and laughs over games together 🎲😄 .
These moments away recharge, reset 🌿✨ and refresh, ready for the week ahead 🦷✨.

✈️I recently enjoyed a wonderful long weekend 🧳 on Flinders Island with great friends, and it truly reminded me just how diverse and beautiful Australia’s landscapes are 🌿. From rugged coastlines to stretches of pristine, quiet beaches 🏝️, amazing wildlife - every walk and drive was a new discovery🚶‍♀️‍➡️! Photos 📸 simply can’t capture the vistas 🌴, delicious food 🍽️ , laughter, and the joy of making life-long memories 😎.

Today is World Oral Health Day and a timely reminder to everyone of the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene 🦷. Proper brushing, using Piksters and TeePees, and regular dental check-ups are crucial for preventing cavities, gum disease, and other oral health issues . This year's theme is “A happy Mouth is A Happy Life”😁. WOHD 2026 reinforces the message that oral health is for everyone, no matter who you are or where you live, and that simply daily habits such as brushing and interproximal cleaning and visiting your dental surgery on a regular basis can make a profound difference to your life❤️‍🩹. Just back from our annual family holiday week in Kiama! 🏖️ I am so grateful to have such a fortunate work-life balance. Long walks, morning and afternoon surfs, delicious food, shopping, and most importantly, quality time with loved ones. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 We had a blast with plenty of board and card games, and taking in the sporadic coastal weather. ♟️🃏The perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. 🤗 Can't wait for the next trip!
