MEET MELISSA ☀️

Mel is our founder, director, and psychologist at Brighter Minds. Learn a little more about Mel....

Hi there! 👋I'm Mel, graduating with a Bachelor of Psychology in 2016 at Charles Sturt University. I'm a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Board and the founder of Brighter Minds. I love working with diverse clients, and have provided assessments and therapy to young children, adolescents, adults, and their families across Riverina NSW.

I conduct a range of psychological assessments, including diagnostic assessments, cognitive assessments, functioning assessments, academic achievement testing (Specific Learning Disabilities), and ADHD assessments. I am dedicated to delivering high-quality psychometric evaluations, ensuring meaningful diagnoses, and offering personalised support with tailored recommendations to enhance outcomes moving forward. I also have experience in treating a range of psychological presenting issues.

If you think I could help support you, a family member, or someone you know, I'd love to hear from you.

Is your child struggling in the school environment? An assessment for learning difficulties can help!

A psychoeducational assessment may be suited if you a querying a specific learning disorder such as dyslexia (reading), dysgraphia (writing), or dyscalculia (math). This assessment can also help parents and teachers to understand why a child may be experiencing academic challenges and can help guide educational strategies.
