👩‍⚕️ NDIS new invoice limits for Self Managers
👋📄 Hey Self Managers – Uploading invoices!

❓ Have you noticed a change when you’ve made a payment request over the past week or so?

💲 Yep, the NDIS have changed the $$ threshold that requires you to upload an invoice when you make a payment request. It’s not consistent though, and I suspect we should expect further changes. They like to keep us on our toes!

🫤 The idea is that if people don’t know the limit, they will just get used to uploading every invoice. It looks like it recently changed to a $1000 limit, but your plan might have a different setting!

📄 I have to admit, as much as I hate the time it takes to do all this work, I now just upload EVERY invoice when I claim (except when the app is not working and I have to use the laptop).

👇 There are a few different ways to do this. Here are a few ideas:

1. Open the invoice on your computer, and use your phone to take a photo of the invoice when you make your claim through the NDIS app on your phone. OR

2. If you only want to use your phone, as your invoices come in on your email, take a screenshot. Then, as you claim each one, you can choose the right photo. And after you’ve made the claims, you can move the photos to an album on your phone – that way you know which invoices you have already claimed, and you have a full record of “evidence’ stored in a photo album (you should probably also store that album in the “cloud” so you can access it from your laptop, or in case you change phones) OR

3. If you’re a dinosaur like me, you can print out each invoice, and take a photo as you make the payment request on your phone app. You don’t need to save all the invoices as pdf files – you can just take a photo!

🧐 Do you upload invoices in a different way? I’m keen to hear other ways to do this!

Thanks all!

After nearly four fabulous years with this incredible human and OT, it is time to send Renelle Harrison into the wild to spread her skills further afield. Renelle recently completed her post graduate studies in public health and has subsequently been successful in landing the role of Allied Health Liaison Lead with our Primary Health Network. This is a role that has such potential to create positive impact with our community and with Allied Health services in our area. We are so proud of and excited for Renelle, even though we will miss her terribly in our office. Thank you Renelle for your valued contribution to Bidgee Kids OT. We have grown, had fun and learnt so much thanks to your skills, creativity and generosity. Can’t wait to see what your new role holds in store for you. Don’t be a stranger Renelle. X Jo, Jen and the Bidgee Kids crew.

Time for a rest and re-set just like this fellow! (Some of you will recognise my “helper” from our Telehealth appointments). Thank you so much to the parents who have entrusted me with their parent-focussed OT through my Kindred OT programme which launched earlier this year. It has been amazing to see what goals your children have achieved thanks to your efforts. Parents are amazing, knowledgeable and often underestimate themselves- I am so excited to keep offering the Kindred OT programme through 2025. ❤️ Jo

After almost six years, The Bidgee Kids OT Henty/Culcairn service is finishing up this week!! This feels like the end of an era but the decision has been softened by the knowledge that many local clients will continue to have access to the wonderful Megan Coyle (OT) through outreach with - drum roll…Kids Skills Occupational Therapy (a division of Rehabco). All of Megan’s clients should have received a letter by now about the process to make the service transition as smooth as possible. Thank you to all of our Henty/Culcairn clients who have joined the Bidgee Kids family over the years. We have loved being able to work with you. Thank you especially to Megan Coyle (OT) who has been an integral member of our team. We have been inspired over the years by your efficiency, professionalism and ability to make real differences to people’s lives. We wish you all the best! X
