Look at this beauty shine 💖
Ensuites are often left at the bottom of the housework list because, lets face it, when we are busy and don’t have time to do it all, we usually concentrate on the areas that visitors are likely to see, and the ensuite is (too) easy to hide!

Starting your day off walking into an ensuite that feels clean, tidy, and organised is going to do wonders for how you feel for the rest of the day compared to an bleary eyed reminder of how many jobs you still have on your to-do list and feeling overwhelmed before you’ve even had your morning coffee!

If your bathroom has been dulled by a layer of dust, fluff, hair and grime, and your vanity is overflowing with lotions and potions that you’ve had shoved in there for the better part of a decade, it might be time to treat yourself to a freshen up!

Today was an 8 hour marathon of plantation shutters, windows, ceiling fans, skirting boards and wall washing… and I didn’t stop once.
Not to eat.
Not to p*e.
Not even to catch my breath properly.
It was a workout and a half, but very satisfying!!

I took some great before photos… and then completely forgot the afters because I was too busy, you know, actually doing the work.

I’m exhausted, but the house looks incredible, and my client was over the moon with the result, which is all that really matters!

Thorough is my middle name!

Lately I’ve been seeing lots of cleaning businesses advertising “deep cleans” of an entire 4‑bed, 2‑bath home… in less time than it took me to detail one very large ensuite last week.

And when I read through the inclusions for these “deep cleans”?
Nine times out of ten, they’re listing things I personally consider essential in a standard clean.

If you book a REFRESHED deep clean, I can assure you - it will be DEEEEP.

I’m talking deeper than conversation that goes down the second that cape goes on in the hairdresser’s chair 🤣

This innate need for attention to detail is exactly why I’ve intentionally chosen NOT to take on the typical weekly/fortnightly recurring cleans.

My version of clean simply can’t be done at a sp*ed that gets a whole house finished in 2–3 hours.

Yes, I take longer — but it’s worth it.
Your results last longer, stay cleaner, and are easier to maintain… because they were done properly.

I work hard, I work fast, and I don’t muck around — but quality is the one thing I’ll never sacrifice for sp*ed.

📣📣📣 ANNOUNCEMENT 📣📣📣
Only 3 Feb spots left AND a new boss coming on board in March!

I still have plenty of availability for March, but flexibility will be required for these bookings because my yet-to-be-born grandson will be completely in charge of the Refreshed calendar for the next 8 weeks or so!

It’s ridiculously exciting, but also rather nerve wracking for me because I don’t like inconveniencing or letting anyone down!

My middle daughter, Liv, is due mid‑March and lives in Newcastle, so please be aware that if you do book in for a March date, our teeny tiny little BossMan might have other plans, and bookings could need to shift at very short notice!

Thank you in advance for your patience, we will just have to let the Universe handle this, because even the best-laid plans are occasionally derailed by the beautiful chaos of having a family! ✨💖✨

Friday was a Refresh of a different kind for me!

A big shout out to the beautiful Sandy at Brow Couture by Sandy in Wodonga, whose work is an absolute game changer for anyone who is challenged in the natural brow department like me!

Having my brows tattooed has saved me SO much time getting ready every day, now that I don’t need to pencil my brows on every day.

It has pretty much paid for itself as well, because I haven’t had to buy a brow pencil in more than 3 years, and I don’t even feel the need to wear makeup every day now that my brows are on point!

It’s always money well spent when you invest in things that:
💖 Make your daily life easier
💖 Get you out the door quicker in the AM
💖 Boost your confidence
💖 Make you feel amazing
💖 Free up time for more important things
💖 Save you money in the long run

Building or doing a reno?
I can help ensure your finished project saves you time, energy, stress, and money!

Over the years, through my cleaning work AND living in nearly 40 different homes, I’ve learned that whilst some fixtures, fittings and finishes might look amazing… they can also be very time consuming (and sometimes near impossible) to clean properly!

This usually results in people getting frustrated and overwhelmed and hiring a cleaner to do it for them, and if the finishes are really difficult to clean it will also cost more for the cleaner as it takes longer.

One of the first offenders that springs to mind is the very popular channel shower drains (stainless finish or tiled) and the floor waste cover plates with the tiles in them. They look AMAZING from above, but boy oh boy do they get funky underneath - and FAST. The long shower grates are very heavy and difficult to remove too, so it’s not a quick easy job to clean them.

My cleaning vote goes to the good ol’ average Joe of the bathroom drain world, with the lift out centre grate for easy cleaning of the actual drain (or to fish out things that “accidentally” fell down there - quotation marks added for the benefit of those who own small humans 😂).

The tiles in this gorgeous ensuite I detailed on Thursday had the perfect sheen level to make them easy to clean and look nice and shiny afterwards, without being a high maintenance, show every mark, full gloss.
