How it all started.....

Like most businesses, Better Mobility started out as a simple, modest store supplying goods focused mainly on products for the elderly and disabled. Items like walkers, mobility scooters, lift chairs and more were all stocked in the showroom which was behind one the largest pharmacies in Wagga.

A few years later, the business moved to Hammond Avenue and the focus shifted from mobility and functional support products to specialist items and the supply of equipment through organisations like ENABLE and the Dept of Veterans Affairs. Staff numbers grew and so did the product lines and knowledge that the business could offer its clients.

In 2015 a significant change in the management of Better Mobility meant another shift in focus, and this time it was towards specialist, complex rehabilitation equipment - something never before seen in Wagga Wagga. We started supplying world class equipment like Permobil power wheelchairs, Quickie Manual and power wheelchairs, JAY cushions and more. More importantly, we found what we are good at, and what we really enjoyed to do.

We took this another step further in 2017 with new staff - experts in their field who come from varied backgrounds, but all share the common goal - to look for the best possible solution for our clients. And to never stop looking, learning - or caring. We now boast the largest specialist rehabilitation team in the region, a new purpose built premises offering easier access and support, and a continually expanding portfolio of assistive devices from around the world. The name may still be the same, but the capabilities grow almost daily.
