Looking for a fresh approach to parenting? Join us on Monday 29 July 6.30pm to 8.30pm for a "Parenting with Compassion" workshop. This workshop will be run by Clinical Psychologist Anne Galambosi alongside secondary teacher, Jade Botha.

The workshop will cover the 'Three Systems Model' of compassion, practical tips on mentalising your child's challenging behaviours and how to harness compassion for yourself as a parent.

All parents, grandparents, friends and carers are welcome.

How to Parent with Insight -Take a walk in little shoes

A parenting course designed to encourage and empower parents to become increasingly confident in their parenting role, as they develop insight into the mind and hearts of their children. The course provides parents with some useful strategies in how to understand their child and communicate effectively with them, nurturing a relationship of trust.

This course is designed specifically for parents and guardians of children aged 0-10

The course runs for three weeks, and explores 6 topics including how to:

Anne and Annette are based in the local area of Rockingham, WA at Core Clinical Psychology. In their clinical work, they have noticed that many parents have expressed their frustration, boredom, and confusion in how to understand and guide their child, being worried that they are not a ‘good enough parent’. Parents are concerned about how to find a balance between gentle and firm guidance so that a relationship of trust and respect might flourish. Anne and Annette hope that this course will encourage parents in their role, and provide some strategies for parents who wish to develop a nurturing relationship with their child.

COMPASSIONATE KIDS PROGRAM (CKP)

Designed by psychologists, the CKP is for children who struggle to cope with sad, angry or worry feelings. Over six sessions, children will learn to make sense of big feelings and increase resilience.

First sessions will run Mondays after school at 30 Gnangara Drive, Waikiki.
